After arriving by ferry or plane, you’ll reach your destination by horse-drawn carriage. At the “Strandhafer” vacation rental in Haus Klabautermann on the beautiful island of Juist, you’ll enjoy views of the dunes on one side and, from the balcony, a view of the Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park on the other. To explore the 17-kilometer-long island, you’ll have access to two bicycles, a trailer for children, and a handcart. We definitely recommend visiting the long white beach—whether for walks along the shore or, for example, to build sandcastles.
By the way, the handcart provided makes it easy to get to the beach even with small children. You can also enjoy the spa orchestra on the Kurplatz while the children sail their boats on the Ship Pond. The Juist Music Festival also enchants many visitors every year and is considered one of the region’s cultural highlights.
