BEACHES & CRITTERS: The beach size in Hawaii varies month to month due to heavy surf, strong currents and tides. Due to Maui’s rural atmosphere you may experience the occasional rooster, as well as harmless geckos. Geckos are friendly, eat insects, and are considered good luck in Hawaii. Please don’t kill them.

IMPORTANT: Although the HOA schedules regular professional pest control services, pests such as ants, roaches and rodents simply cannot be completely controlled in the tropics. Hawaii is located in a tropical climate, and insects, rodents and lizards flourish in this environment. If our guest spot more than the normal expected pests, we always make our best efforts to contact and work with the HOA to minimize your interactions with these pests. Any contact with such pests within or outside the unit does not constitute a breach of this Agreement or give Guest any right to any refund or rental adjustments.

Larger and Better Then pictures!

Got a 2 Bedrooom, 2 Bathroom unit at a higher floor. Stunning ocean view during the day AND night. If you have sleeping problem or jetlag, look out the window and have a sublime experience seeing the waves and cloud lit up by the moon.

Enjoyed our stay

We enjoyed our experience at the hotel overall. We found that the kitchen was lacking a few items, but the staff promptly provided us with what we felt we needed. The pools are great, but we wish there was more shade at the beach pool. The hotel is currently under renovations. The noise wasn’t too noticeable, but it did take away from the beauty of the hotel gardens. The beach was nice to lay and relax on and even had a tree for shade, but it was hard to swim in because of all the rocks in the water. I would definitely consider booking here again in the future.

Amazing amazing amazing

Our stay here was amazing! From communication before booking to check in and check out! My husband and I are overwhelmed and just in awe of how amazing this trip was. The staff was so welcoming and so friendly Mark at the bar and even Lindsay at security ! Made us feel at home and really elevated our trip experience. We are so grateful and hope to come back there soon!!

Maui Stay at Kaanapali Shores

The view was beautiful from our room. Our room was larger than I thought it would be. The property was beautiful. I didn’t think the concierge was very nice. She seemed grumpy every time I went up to her, and she spent a lot of time on the phone. I get the frustration she had because everything was booked to 25% capacity due to COVID. There was also a guy at the front desk. I told a women at the front desk that we had no silverware in our place. He replied with, “That’s impossible. There has to be silverware.” I didn’t like being second guessed. When we came home there was a tray of silverware that didn’t fit in any of the drawers. Other than that, loved the location, the grounds, and the size of the room.
