Nice ocean front location.

Pros: Love the ocean front townhomes for the daily sunset. Nice pool & bbq area as well as tennis courts. Whole complex if very well kept. Also, great snorkeling beach close by that is walking distance. Cons: Very dirty floor. As soon as I stepped into the house, I immediately felt the grittiness of the floor. So dirty that it made our socks and feet black. Second dirty item is the rice cooker. The funny thing is, there is a note to wipe it clean but it was so dirty that it could not be cleaned. I couldn't use it, it was disgusting. Third con is the sofas are old not very comfy. Fourth con, only one roll of paper towel. It was already in the holder so it's probably the leftover from the previous renter and there was no back up roll. I'm reserved the place for a week, at least have a second roll. Finally the fifth con, no designated parking spot.

Unbeatable views and Idyllic location

Views are incredible. Best in this resort and maybe all of Hawaii! Sunsets every eve, almost empty beach, turtles and snorkelling on doorstep. Condo really well set up and comfortable. Property manager really responsive and helpful (even bringing us cooler when we had just failed to find where other one put away). If looking for peaceful beautiful spot in Hawaii this spot is perfect.

Excellent Location, Amazing Views, Very Comfortable

My family of 3 stayed here for 2 weeks and we had a great time. Overall I'd say the current rating of 4.8 stars is spot on: it wasn't 100% perfect, but it was very close. Highlights: - The view is spectacular. We spent many evenings watching sunsets from the lanai and listening to the waves crashing. - The location is great. Super short walk to the adjacent beach that you can see from the lanai (the beach is a little rocky, but there are tidepools to explore and if it's calm you can snorkel right there). 10 min walk to Kahalu'u Beach for excellent snorkeling. Short drive to restaurants & groceries. - AC worked great. 1 unit downstairs plus 1 in each bedroom. Didn't need to run them that frequently but was great to have when needed and they worked quickly. Upstairs bathroom had no coverage so it did get warm some days but not a big deal. - Had 1 big issue when we arrived - internet wasn't working. The local crew worked quickly to help resolve it and it was back up and running in less than 24 hours. Minor Issues: - Had a couple smaller issues that the crew didn't ever resolve (downstairs toilet kept running, they said they'd get a handyman but never happened in our 2 weeks; upstairs bath floor lighting didn't work, also never fixed). - Owner stores her car in the main parking space now, so we had to use guest parking, but we were always able to get a spot that was close so not a big deal. - Master bed was soft - we prefer firmer so not ideal but we still slept fine.

My visit to Keauhou

You can almost touch the waves while sitting on the lanai at Keauhou Surf & Racquet Club. A beautiful oceanfront condo that I hope to return to in the future. The condo is very well equipped for one’s needs. It’s the perfect location and comfy in every way. Excellent communications with the owner. Easy to find and very enjoyable. Lots of activities close by including good restaurants. The sunsets are amazing!

Tropical getaway

My husband and I wanted to take our daughter somewhere after graduating high school. After scouring different websites looking for hotels, we decided to check into rental properties. I'm so glad we did. The townhouse was perfect for the three of us. My favorite spot was the lanai overlooking the small beach behind us. I sat there every morning just watching the waves and tide roll in with my breakfast. There were yellow tang fish everyday. We also saw turtles swimming there. The townhouse was close to town but not in it. There is a beach that's only a short (maybe 10 minutes) walk down the street. You can snorkel on the small reef there. We borrowed the beach chairs from the townhouse which also has some snorkeling equipment when we drove up to a beach north of the airport. The only thing that was a bit off putting was the A/C in the master bedroom. Of course, since it faces west, you get the full sun all afternoon and evening. That makes it harder to cool down. That was a minor detail for an overall great trip. We're already looking forward to another trip to the big island soon.

Spectacular!

The location and views of the ocean are amazing. The home is well decorated and comfortable. We even used the kitchen pass through to the patio. We spent the majority of our time out on the patio enjoying g the views and sounds of the ocean. We highly recommend staying here.

Kahaluu-Kona Surf & Racket Club Townhouse 197

Overall this property is in good shape and comfortable. The location is quite good and felt well located to get to just about any part of the island. We loved our daily Sunset views from the private Lanai, and easy access to the little private bay that offered good snorkeling, actually better than most other touted beaches. Be careful though as the currents can be quite strong at times depending upon the tide, but once you get past the small breakers, the views and number of fish is very good. Again, the current can be pretty strong so if your not a strong swimmer and experienced snorkeler, you might need to have a buddy system with flotation. The townhouse could use some updating in certain aspects, primarily related to the furniture, but really no significant complaints. The unit was clean and serviceable, and all the necessary cooking items were available to make just about any meal, as we did cook in often.

Beautiful place

Ocean front paradise. Lovely condo with an incredible view. Hear the waves and see turtles feed from your lanai. This condo had everything we needed or wanted! Tide pool right out the back door where a local fisherwoman taught my son to catch and release fish. Close to good restaurants and grocery store and a short drive to “downtown”. On-site pool is large and clean. Condo itself is lovely with new furnishings, carpet, etc. Two full bathrooms is also great. Check in and out were easy and local contacts very helpful. Highly recommend!!

Everything you need, nice beds . Air Conditioning was needed from time to time and worked flawlessly. Only suggestion would be plastic chairs for lani need to be replaced and couches in living room are to low and hard to get up from.

We always love staying at the Keahou Surf and Racquet Club. We're only 15 minutes away from the crowds of Kona, but near to stores, restaurants and a great little beach for snorkeling. This unit is right on the water. Love hearing the waves from our bed.

A little Paradise: Watch the Sunset, Listen to the Waves

Very comfortable townhouse right on the water where you can catch the sunset each night right from the back lanai. The tennis and racquet club is also perfectly situated at the end of Alii drive with access to shopping, restaurants, snorkeling and activities all within a short distance from the condo. We would definitely stay again!

Another great stay!

This is our 7th stay at the Keauhou Surf & Raquet Club (each time in different units), and each time has been wonderful. We love the views, well tended and peaceful grounds, the communal gas grills, and the entire location. This unit has AC (which was really necessary this summer) especially because it is orientated more to the North rather than West, so the breezes aren't as strong as in other condos/townhouses. That's a minor issue however. The owner's agent was very helpful and gracious is helping me try to track down a missing item. If those headphones ever show up, please send them :0 Overall its a really nice unit, well stocked, and comfortable. thanks!!
