Great value for your money

Location is on the edge of town so it is less busy, also has less amenities. The rooms are starting to show some age and are a bit dated. The AC is not on until you get in your room and turn it on, and it takes about 2 hours to cool down. Beds are very comfortable, has full kitchen and laundry in the room. Great bang for the buck staying here. I did not us any amenities, so i can't comment on those.

The location is superb and the property very well maintained. The staff of this resort was helpful and very well equipped. There are beaches and a shopping mall in easy walking distance. Snorkeling equipment is available at the resort. In short this a complete vacation package, would definitely return

The resort was extremely clean. We are picky about where we stay and this place was fantastic. The staff were all friendly and accommodating. It was also nice being able to cook our own meals and have adequate cookware to do so. I highly recommend this resort.

Thank you for the hospitality. The property, amenities, location, and staff earned an A plus. Check in was really easy. The garage for our jeep was awesome (tarps off)! The condo had AC. Check out my itinerary. I stayed for 10 days. I would highly recommend this vacation for those who love recreation. Mahalo! Hawai’i summer 2025 Kona Town White sands beach magic sands beach - Monday Kaloko-Honokōhau National park - Tuesday Kua Bay (35 min drive) - Wednesday Thursday - Museum Royal Hulihee Palace (saw shark near royal sea wall) Kealakekua bay snorkeling adventure (captain cook). - Friday @8am Venture to South Kona to see kuamoo burial grounds (lekeleke burial grounds), Hikiau Heiau temple, Puuhonua Honhaunau National Park - Saturday First Christian Hawaiian church Mokuaikaua founded in 1820 Sunday @10am (closed for renovation) , Kahalu’u Beach Park - Sunday

Very clean and Relaxing

This resort condo was so relaxing and clean. Room was super big. Got the Ohana Suite and just loved it The only thing I wish is that because we arrived early we wish that we could have used the pool facilities while waiting for our room.

Everything was great. The pool was nice. The condo was big and spacious. The only thing that was annoying was one of the employees in the check in office wouldn’t give us pool towel on our last day. My flight didn’t leave until 10pm. So we left our luggage at the resort. We were going to enjoy the pool until we were leaving for the airport. But the employee said no we can’t give you towels. This is something we don’t do. Everything was great until that. Kind of gave me a bad taste in my mouth on our way out.

I visited the Kona Coast resort many years ago and I really enjoyed it and I came back again this time and I really enjoyed it again it's a great place to stay.

This is an apartment complex

The property is listed as a "resort," the property is not even close to a resort. A resort is a self-contained destination with extensive amenities and recreational activities.This "resort" does not offer a comprehensive vacation experience, the only dining options was a bar with very little food to offer, no entertainment, and no leisure activities within the property. I don't know where the disconnct is between hotels.com and Kona Coast Resort but this isn't a resort, it's an apartment complex

My family stayed 6 days in an upper condo-like unit which included a furnished kitchen washer/dryer. AC was included in my package. At check in, we were invited to take advantage of a 90 minute properly tour to earn gifted, which we declined without issue. The morning after our first night we saw a few cockroaches, but after cleaned after ourselves (washing dishes, cleaned the kitchen area, and taking out all trash) there were no issues with insects. Keeping windows open and ceiling fans moving while we were away adventuring helped lessen any odors from humidity. Overview we had a great stay. The property is well maintained. Of coarse there are a few minor cosmetic things that could be repaired, but they seemed to address those periodically.
