This house OFFERS A QUITE, PEACEFUL ATMOSPHERE within feet from the waters edge. Mill Lake is a private, 88 acre all sports lake offering great fishing, boating and swimming. During the SUMMER, enjoy a leisurely ride around the lake in the provided paddle boats, kayaks or row boat or bring your own boat and take advantage of the boat ramp on the adjacent property. During the WINTER months, enjoy ice fishing and other winter sports, then warm up inside by the electric fireplace. Spend the day on the water or take a 15 minute drive into Battle Creek or Hastings for endless activities such as golfing, shopping, gambling and museums. Comes fully furnished including linens, towels, cookware and WiFi

The cottage on Mill Lake was perfect - very clean, well stocked, nicely updated, beautiful views from inside and out, nice amenities with paddle boats and kayaks. A very quiet and peaceful lake. We were lucky enough to see a hot air balloon early one morning. We visited Gilmore Car Museum, about ten minutes away, which was really neat. The hosts are friendly and left very thoughtful touches with snacks and bottled water.

Had a wonderful stay! Everything was as described and well stocked, and the owners were extremely responsive. Made for a wonderful, relaxing weekend with our son and our dog.One tip: There’s no dishwasher, so we brought paper plates to make cleanup a little easier.

Great Stay

Had a great time relaxing at the cottage. Loved that we had so many amenities like kayaks, pedal boats, firepit, wood rack and fishing poles. Can't say a bad thing about our time there. Very quiet and very well taken care of.

Precious little house with big amenities!

The house and property are wonderfully laid out for a relaxing retreat. So many games/activities at your fingertips that two 62 year old high school friends got out on the lake in the paddle boat! This house is clean, comfortable and welcoming. We had a blast!

Nice little getaway

My family of 3 enjoyed our short getaway for our son’s birthday. It was nice to disconnect from the world for a few days and unwind. The area was so calm and quiet. We enjoyed watching the sunsets over the lake and the amazing views of the night sky. We couldn’t have asked for better weather for our trip. The house was clean and very spacious for the three of us. We will be back again! We hope to visit for the other seasons as well.

Snow globe

We needed to make a last minute trip to MI from SC to visit family. We were so lucky that this little gem was available. It is small and cozy but had everything we needed. The weather was cold and snowy. It was beautiful. It felt like we were inside a snow globe during our stay. It was only 8 minutes from our family which made it very convenient. We usually make MI our summer vacation but after this stay we are thinking of adding a winter trip. This was a wonderful winter retreat.

Comfort on the Lake

We loved this 1920's fully remolded cottage on the lake. The host included everything one would need for a nice relaxing stay. All the fixtures and features of the cottage are of great quality, and it is tastefully decorated. We absolutely loved the chandelier. We used the kayaks and paddleboat everyday. Looking forward to returning in summer.

Don't Hesitate to Book This Cozy Cottage on the Lake

We had a lovely visit! This was our first trip to this quaint, quiet area, and it did not disappoint. The owners provide SO many nice little amenities right down to cream and sugar. The provided kayaks and paddleboat were so much fun for fishing and adventure, while the fire pit is perfect for relaxing! This home is extremely clean, smells clean, and is well lit. We felt very safe and had no issues. It was a helpful option to be able to take our pets along as well. We will not hesitate to return next year!

I always hate to leave!

The best sign of an excellent vacation is not wanting to leave. My dog and I have been staying at this beautiful place on the water twice a year for many years. Kayaking, Paddle Boarding (I bring my own), swimming, bonfires, sunsets ... it doesn't get any better.

Perfect Long Weekend Away!

What a beautiful little home, on the most peaceful little lake. We had a wonderful long holiday weekend with our youngest kiddo and pups. The house was clean and felt so spacious. It was stocked with everything inside and outside we could imagine! Our youngest was up before the sunrise and ready to swim, so we greatly appreciated the beach area and docks. The hosts were incredibly kind when we met them, and so helpful. We had a blast just relaxing, doing some fishing, using the paddle boats/kayaks, and the view was incredible every sunrise/set. Thank you for an amazing long weekend away. We can’t wait to come back and visit again in the future.

Perfect weekend getaway!!

My husband and I had a relaxing time at the lake cottage. It was so clean and cozy. Far away from the busyness but close to good restaurants and basic amenities. The hosts were very hospitable and we had everything we needed:) The lake and view is gorgeous!!! Thank you!!
