Sleeps 6! Palm Villas B23, 2 bed plus 3rd bedroom loft! Walk to Beach!

Please be advised that during the month of September 2025 the pool will be closed for maintenance.There will possibly be noise from the pool area as it is getting refurbished. This beautiful and spacious condo at the Palm Villas at Mauna Lani Resort is located on Pauoa Rd about 20 minutes north of Kona Airport. The property was built in 2005 in a small gated community of 44 units on 6 acres that are beautifully landscaped. Palm Villas is a quiet, comfortably decorated 2 bedroom, 2 bath, with a large upstairs loft, set up as a third sleeping space. Located next to the historic petroglyphs park and views of Mauna Kea, guests receive an access card to private parking at the nearby Mauna Lani Beach Club, with white sand beach, lounge chairs and cabanas, excellent snorkeling, and open-air restaurant, Napua. Not only is this a fantastic restaurant for lunch and dinner, but you can also order drinks at the bar —or in to-go cups. Perfect for that afternoon Mai-tai!

Ideal for couples, families, or friends, There is over 1400 square feet of living space with a furnished lanai looking over the grounds and pool area. The well equipped kitchen is open to the dining and living areas making meal prep fun. The master bedroom has a king size bed, large master bath with double sinks, separate stand up shower, and large soaking bathtub. The second bedroom has a queen bed located next to the second bath. The loft, which has a great view of Mauna Kea, has a queen bed, sitting chair, dresser, plus a desk area. The unit has a stackable washer and dryer. This is a 2nd floor unit with inside stairs to living areas and bedrooms.

A western-facing lanai off the living area is a great place to enjoy your morning coffee or dining, while looking out to the luscious gardens and pool area. A gas BBQ and kitchenette on the lanai is a great place to grill your freshly caught fish!

Our unit has a dedicated carport for your parking convenience, a garage space, plus an additional placard for on-street parking within the gated community.

Guests have free access to the Palm Villas community waterfall pool, hot tub, and fitness center. Palm Villas is located just a short distance (walkable, if desired) from the Mauna Lani shops, Tommy Bahama Restaurant, Fairmont Hotel, Mauna Lani Resort, Pizza restaurant, a Mexican Food restaurant, Foodland, a well stocked specialty grocery store, and coffee shop. Across the street from the complex is the Mauna Lani Sports & Fitness Club with tennis courts and pickleball courts.These courts are available to Palm Villas guests for a fee.Inquire at complex’s office for details and prices.

Snorkeling equipment in all sizes, beach chairs, 2 ice chests, 2 boogie boards, beach umbrellas, beach towels are available in our unit for guest use. For young families, we have a Pack n Play (with sheets) and high chair in our unit.
OUR HOME HAS A NO SHOES POLICY.
7 or more days during high season is preferred. Do not book a reservation checking in or out on Major holidays. They will not be accepted.

This was our first trip to the big island, and I would say we really lucked out on this place! The place was very clean and comfortable and we felt very safe. The location, access to private beach club, onsite pool, neighborhood, etc., were a perfect introduction to the island. There was a complete selection of beach items - from folding chairs and beach umbrella, to ice chests and snorkeling gear. We ventured out every day to other beaches and locations, but we felt the private beach club with cabana chairs, wonderful snorkeling, easy parking and access, made our "home" beach our favorite of all! The hosts were very accommodating and responsive and we would highly recommend this place to everyone!

Wonderful space and location.

Absolutely wonderful condo, with amenities not found elsewhere, great workout area and pool. Definitely not for families with active kids who might be a bit loud. Kitchen well stocked and lanai perfect. The check in instructions are way too confusing and could be made much more simple (BTW happy to help!).We will be back.

Beautiful place

The condo was beautiful and spacious. The community with nice and quiet. It seemed to be mostly older folks. This unit is upstairs, so we had to be extra careful to be quiet enough, which is tough with 3 young kids. We had a lovely stay!

Okay place to stay

The condo was well located in the Mauni Lani resort area. However, there was confusing information sent to us about where to park, the entry stairs were dirty, the lanai was very dark with surrounding foliage, the sofas were too low for us to sit on them (and get up) comfortably, the air conditioning controls were difficult to reach with a piece of decorative furniture in front of them. The master bedroom closet was small and the shower in the master bath had a pebble floor that was VERY uncomfortable to stand on - and no rubber mat to help. There was no tea kettle for our morning tea and we don’t drink coffee in the morning.The unit offered a number of amenities like dishwashing and clothes washing pods, etc. It would probably be fine for a lot of people, just not a good fit for us.

Great quiet condo in a perfect location, Mauna Lani

Central location near tennis center and a short walk to the beach. We have stayed at this complex 5 times, and are always happy. This condo has everything, complete kitchen, barbecue, garage full of beach items, and a pass to the beautiful beach nearby. The kitchen has everything we needed, and the condo was clean. It is comfortable and spacious as well.

Great condo, lots of space, quiet area

Myself, husband, and 2 teens enjoyed our stay. The teens were happy to each have their own sleeping area. The kitchen was great for making breakfast each morning. It was well stocked with dishes, pots & pans, spices, etc. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub area after long days sightseeing, hiking, and at the beach. The quiet pool area is very relaxing. We did not go to the resort beach, there are a few other really nice beaches close by that we choose to go to so the beach chairs, umbrella, towels, and snorkeling equipment that were provided were a really nice option for us.

Fabulous Vacation Rental

Aside from being too short, our stay at Palm Villas B23 was perfect in every way! The unit was immaculate, quiet, comfortable, and one of the best equipped vacation rentals we’ve had. We especially loved having all the beach gear (towels, chairs, umbrella, snorkeling equipment, and boogie boards) right in the garage ready for us. Palm Villas location is ideal, within easy walking distance of the shops and restaurants, and a pleasant 15-minute walk from the beach club. We used the pool and hot tub two afternoons; both were well maintained and uncrowded. The next door neighbor and her little dog were kind and welcoming, and the rental was even more spacious than it appears in photos. Mahalo, and hopefully we will be lucky enough to return for another stay someday!

Excellent location!

The condo’s location in Palm Villas is excellent, close to tennis, and the unit has lovely views of foliage and the pool. It was quiet and comfortably sleeps 6. We really appreciated the beach gear for guest use in the garage and loved spending time at the beach club. I would give 4.5 stars overall if I could. We had issues with some of the appliances not working properly including washer/dryer, and while it sleeps 6, the 2 tables each had 4 chairs. Kitchen has the basics. Parking is oddly in the unit next door. Property management was responsive, which we appreciated.

Great family trip

This condo is in a great location. We had everything we needed to cook and it was very easy to get to everything around the island. We used the private beach access one day, but there are so many beautiful beaches nearby that we ended up visiting a different beach every morning. Overall, we were very happy with the condo and the location and the hosts were very quick to respond to any questions. My only suggestion would be to add a day bed in the upstairs loft. There is plenty of space for it.

Peaceful retreat

The condo provided a restful and beautiful stay at Mauna Lani. This lovingly-cared for and sparking clean unit has a captivating view to Mauna Kea from the loft, super comfy furniture, and is thoughtfully surrounded by lush greenery that affords a sense of privacy between the unit and the pool across the lawn. The greenery, including a divine plumeria, and orientation also keep the house cooler. This time of year, the tradewinds provided most of the air conditioning needed. The kitchen has a good assortment of tools with plenty of working space, and the lanai bar appointments in addition a beautiful looking grill that I failed to take advantage of. The loft has a bed and a nicely-sized desk, which provided a work area with a gorgeous view. It's just a 20-25 min walk to the beach at Makaiwa Bay, and the tennis courts and fitness center are a 2 minute walk. All the communication from the owners and management was timely and helpful. Thank you for a relaxing and productive stay!

Quiet and Relaxing

We love Palm Villas because the property is beautiful, quiet close to the beaches and many restaurant choices. B23 is as described in the listing...pretty much everything you need for your stay. The master bedroom and bath are lovely, great king bed, plenty of hot water for your shower or bath. Lot of spices, condiments and kitchen accessories if you care to cook. We met the nice lady downstairs who "thanked" us for being so quiet. We told her that we appreciated her efforts in asking "boisterous" people to keep down the noise. We highly recommend Building B for anyone who enjoys a peaceful place when coming back home after a sun filled day!

Great stay at the Palm Villas!

We had a great stay at the Palm Villas! Great condo with plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen has everything you need if you feel like cooking. The pool was great and if you want to walk to the Beach Club it’s an easy walk. We met the lovely neighbor and her dog Luigi. Hoping to come back next summer.

Great Unit in Quiet Neighborhood

We initially choose this unit for it's access to private Mani Lani Beach Club and couldn't be happier. We spent the majority of our time at the beach and the rest of our time in the pool. The only thing that put a damper in our stay was getting yelled at when we were playing in the pool because the our kids were being 'too loud' while playing Marco Polo. To be fair, it does ask that you try to be quiet and courteous since residences are close to the pool. We did our best to keep it down in the pool area after that point, but it would have been nice to have some consistency as we frequently heard other kids screaming at the pool from within our unit throughout our stay. Other than that everything was fantastic. The kitchen was stocked with spices which was nice, and having in unit laundry was a great feature as well. If you get a chance, take the short walk from this unit over to the Petroglyph park and take the trail down through the lava and fish ponds to the beach. This was one of our kiddos favorite things to do as they loved the Egret tree and looking for Eels in the ponds.

2階の部屋であったが一階に住んでいる住人がおり、音に関しての苦情があり、いろいろと苦痛であった。入口のナンバーのカギに2回不具合があり、2度ほど日本の旅行者に連絡したがすぐに対応が難しいようで、とても困った。 幸い同行者が他のビラを使っていたので現地の友人を通じて現地の不動産会社に掛け合って4時間くらいかかって対応できた。 今までもほかのビラに泊まったが、最悪。 ABC棟はロケーションも悪く陰気。海まで歩いて20分かかるので、車で対応した。

Lovely unit great for family vacation

We loved staying here with our family including our 9 month old! The unit was well provisioned and included crucial things for traveling with small kids like a pack and play, high chair, and even beach toys and floaties! It really made it feel as if we were staying in our own home. We would enthusiastically stay here again next time we come to the Big Island!

Perfect for a family celebration
