The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. Strawberry Hill is a hidden gem and a prime Kansas City location.

15 min drive to Legends Outlet & 5 min drive to downtown KCMO. You can get anywhere quickly! I-70 I-35 I-29 Highway access 2 min drive.

Strawberry hill is a historic neighborhood in Kansas City. With its laid back feel, porch-wrapped homes, and sweeping bluff top views above the Missouri River, Strawberry Hill is one of KC Metro's true gems. This neighborhood has so much soul! Mainly a sleepy secret, Strawberry Hill is rich in quality hang outs and has some of the finest dive bars in the city.

Guests who drive into KC are welcome to park along the street in front of the residence. Guests who are flying in can take a taxi, Uber, Lyft, or any ride share you prefer.

Once you are here there are plenty of ways to get around! Kansas City offers bird scooters, KC street car, RideKC, Uber, Lyft, RideKC bike and others.

Street parking only. You may have to park a couple yards from the house as there are other cars parked too. Please ask me for detailed instructions on parking once you book!

Fire pit provided in the backyard - guests must provide their own firewood.

Home is set up for 6 guests but if you want to have more there is an air mattress and couch and will need to be agreed upon in advance. There is a fee for any guest after 6!

Smoking inside or outside the house is prohibited.

Cleaning crew had not changed the sheets, there was hair and debris on the fitted sheet. The house smelled like an open sewer. The house was cute in a very questionable neighborhood.

A nice stay

Had a great stay at this property, even if it is a little rough around the edges. When I checked in, the wifi was not working, but the property manager was quick to respond and resolve the issue, which I appreciated very much. There's great BBQ right down the block, and it was easy to find!

Overall, property was nice, clean and in a very convenient location. Although it was nice to have queen beds, they were not very comfortable. Communication with host could have been a little better with regard to a faster response time. The property accommodated our family of 4 very well.

Mixed emotions

The house was cute, clean, and close to where we needed to be. Unfortunately it had a strong unpleasant odor throughout our stay. We got some air fresheners but it didn't completely solve the problem. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, and we didn't feel very safe in the neighborhood (a man banged on our door yelling "open the door" on our last morning). I feel things light toilet paper and towels were very light as we had to message and ask for more (1 or 2 rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom for 3 people/6 nights). This house served its purpose but I would not stay here again.

Perfect Accommodations & Host

My son and I rented Ashley’s home for 9 days to allow my son to recover from surgery comfortably. The location was excellent, being only 6 minutes from the hospital. The home was very comfortable and inviting. We enjoyed having every convenience of home we needed, during our stay. The check-in and check-out process was also very delightful. I highly recommend Ashley’s home, if visiting KC.

Cute inside

Overall, we had a good stay at this property, with just a few minor caveats. The inside of the house is cutely updated. However, the (really heavy) barn door installed on one of the bathrooms immediately came off of the track, due to not quite being installed properly, which left the bathroom door half open/half closed, which was pretty awkward. The shower curtain in the second bathroom kept falling down, and was in fact in the bathtub when we arrived. The beds are also a little squeaky, being on spring platforms. The location itself was very central to where we needed to be for a wedding and reception, and the price was definitely right for the number of people we had with us (5).
