Conveniently located between the south and north shore is this wonderfully appointed one-bedroom, one and a half bath, ocean-view condo at Lae Nani. Tucked away off a quaint side street in Kapaa, Lae Nani condos are walking distance to Coconut Marketplace, the Tuesday afternoon Farmers Market, Passion Bakery, Imua Coffee, Russel’s Vegan CafĂ©, Hukilau Lanai known for their excellent local cuisine, as well as Lava Lava Beach Club famous for their tropical craft cocktails and tables in the sand. This condo has an amazing oversized, covered lanai with two chaise loungers perfect for taking in the big ocean views. It’s a wonderful spot to relax and watch the sunrise while drinking your morning coffee. Now featuring air-conditioning in the bedroom and living room!

Once inside, the owners have thoughtfully designed the space with an elegant mix of unique, retro Hawaiian décor. The kitchen has updated appliances, all the necessities for meal prep, and a breakfast bar with two stools. The dining area features a gorgeous, marble dining table and seating for four. The entertainment area features a smart TV (streaming services available), cable, and high-speed internet throughout the condo. Condo is located on the 3rd floor (please note, there is no elevator).

The garden bedroom features a king-sized bed with fresh, white linens, a modern dresser, and a cozy sitting area. There is also an updated, en-suite bathroom with a shower/tub combo and beautiful, quartz vanity. There is an additional half bath off the main living area of the condo.

Lae Nani offers a wonderful list of amenities. Swim in their ocean front pool, play tennis or pickleball on their private court, or walk along the white sand beach affronting the property which continues to a protected cove called Baby Beach, perfect for little ones. Lae Nani is also adjacent to an ancient Hawaiian heiau. Immerse yourself in the unique culture of this area. The owners of this condo have also provided tennis rackets, boogie boards, a pickleball set for four, and snorkel sets, free for guest use.

Come stay in this centrally located gem! Kapaa town is only thirty minutes from the north shore, twenty minutes to the airport, and just forty minutes to the south shore making it the perfect jump-off point for adventures. It’s also Kauai’s biggest town with a Friday night art-walk, Saturday night drive-in movies at Coconut Marketplace, the nationally recognized coastal bike trail, newly dedicated skate park, and a central walking area with shops, galleries, and restaurants. Whether you spend your entire vacation here or a few days between shores, you’ll love this wonderful spot and all that Kapaa and Lae Nani have to offer!

Everything about our experience was five star except we were disappointed there is no shade by the pool. Also, the cupboards and closets were so full of stuff (excess kitchen gadgets, extra mattresses, cleaning supplies) that there was barely room for our food and clothes. Other than that, the location was terrific, the view phenomenal, and we had excellent weather. We'd definitely stay at this complex again.

Clean and modern, view wonderful- loved spending mornings on lanai listening to the waves. Complex is beautifully landscaped, quiet, and safe. Loved being able to walk to Coconut market place or Lava Lava Beach club for meals. Great location for exploring all the island. Bed comfy. Kitchen had everything. Closet on lanai had everything for the beach- chairs, umbrellas, cooler, toys, etc. Walked on walking path every morning. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location for an East side property. Unit was as described but needs a refresh. Living room is teakwood furniture but not super practical or comfortable for relaxing. If you enjoy watching TV in bed you should note this unit doesn’t have a TV in the bedroom. Great view of the ocean and convenient walk to restaurants and shopping.

Wonderful location!

Wonderful location, with easy access to the Coconut marketplace with great dining options and shops. The grounds of the complex were beautifully maintained. Easy access to the beach that was not busy and did not have a lot of "foot traffic" going through made it feel very secluded. The pool was wonderful as well. The property felt very safe and had everything we needed. The a/c unit is portable and noisy, so if that bothers you, then may want to consider other units.

Great views and close to everything

The property was just as described - brand new carpets were installed and the kitchen was updated, but the rest of this unit needs a reno to catch up with the times. The furniture was dated and not super comfy, including the bed. We didn't spend much time sitting inside, though. Could for sure use a new mattress. There are no in-unit ACs so they did have portable AC units in the front room and bedroom, with fans running, which helped a bit. The view of the beach can't beat and the terrace is big enough to sit out even in the dumping rain and stay protected - loved enjoying the evening rain while sitting outside with our drinks. Had minimal communication with the property management team - nothing came up so no need to reach out. Property was sparkling clean and well-maintained. Be sure to note, this is a third-floor walk up unit with no elevator. I would not recommend for anyone with mobility issues but great otherwise. I appreciated how close this unit is to everything at the Coconut Marketplace - plenty of restaurant options and the island's biggest ABC store to help stock the kitchen. Loved that parking was included and easy to find a spot every evening when we got back.

Great Place to Stay!

Beautiful setting just steps away from the ocean and beach. The host was wonderful, low stress. The condo was nice at 808 square feet very well kept up. It was magical to sit on the lanai and watch and hear the waves on the beach. Walking distance to numerous restaurants and a convenience store to buy groceries and meals. There were many days we didn’t have to use our car. We would definitely use the same condo again in the future.

October stay

The view was very nice from our balcony, the kitchen was well supplied. There is no elevator and this unit in on the 3rd floor, so anyone with bad knees, be aware. the unit does not have a central A/C but instead a unit in the living room. There is multiple fans, however, the bedroom and bathroom still become very warm and stuffy. We had both the ceiling fan and floor fans going--all night.

Best complex in Kapaa

We’ve stayed at this complex before but couldn’t get the one we normally rent. This one was a bit expensive comparatively but we loved being on the top floor and there were some nice extras provided. The spices were much better stocked than usual and the pots and pans were actually decent. We do a lot of our own cooking when we visit so it’s nice to have a well-stocked kitchen. There was an issue when pest control showed up without warning from anyone. We let them come in, even though that meant leaving them alone with our belongings and we had to be gone for most of the day (which we were planning anyway, but we were worried about our stuff getting sprayed.) I notified the manager but didn’t get a reply until more than 24 hours later and they weren’t very apologetic about it. They also gave us two codes for the gate, which was confusing. The right one was buried in the body of the confirmation, and the wrong one was at the top. A little proofreading wouldn’t go amiss. Otherwise we’d book again if we can’t get our normal place. We liked this one better but it’s substantially more expensive.

Perfect Location and Amenities

My wife and I spent a week traveling up and down Kauai and this condo was a great location. Centrally located and next to several really convenient restaurants and resorts. The Coconut Marketplace is a 5 minute walk, and even though it’s a bit of a tourist trap, it was convenient and gave us a call back for grocery items and meals. The condo was clean and had a great view of the water. Even though there’s no central AC, the fans and the ocean air kept it comfortable enough. If you’re looking for a trip with some flexibility in location and eating options, this is a great spot.
