Kapa'a is a wonderful base to visit points on the island to both the North and the South. This spot is well-located and walkable to groceries and restaurants. I was really happy with the folks from Garden Island properties, who were very responsive and acted promptly to resolve a couple of issues that arose during our stay. Thumbs up!

Almost Perfect!

Location was great, walking distance to the beach and to the plaza with restaurant and some shopping. Check in process smooth, amenities in room were great, beach towels, chairs, ambarella and a small cooler. The reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because the bathroom needed more attention. One of the curtain clips was broken, the shower head seem very rusty like it hadn't been deep clean in a while.

Best equipped rental ever!

We appreciated how well appointed and well equipped G5 is. Everything you could possibly want or need is provided. Loved the decor and quality furnishings, close access to walking path, marketplace, and good restaurants. Especially glad to have Bluetooth speaker, which really helped disguise the traffic noise. Our only complaint- we like to sit outside on the lanai and enjoy the birds, gardens, sunsets, etc. This isn’t possible at G5 due to the proximity of the highway and very loud traffic. For the those who are busy all day exploring the island, this wouldn’t be a problem. But if you’re looking for a peaceful and serene Hawaiian getaway, this might not be for you.

Wonderful!

This is a lovely condo in a great location! We appreciated having the kitchen to prepare some of our meals, and also greatly appreciated the beach chairs & umbrella, beach towels, and cooler for our day trips. Lots of great eateries in the area. Beach is less than 5 minute walk from condo. Kapa’a is perfect location for exploring other parts of the island, as well—quick drive to north, south, and west sides of Kaua’i. We would love to stay here again if we ever have the opportunity to return to Kaua’i.

Likes: Great central location. Walkable to a lot of eateries. Close parking. Unit has a cooler, chairs and other items available to use. Great communication when needed. Easy check in and out process. Dislikes: Shower curtain did not close and water spilled outside the shower. Bathroom did not have extra shower mat. Paying additional cleaning fee however having to make sure you swept prior to check out as well as placing all used towels in bathroom and taking all trash out and dumping in outside trash bin.

Perfect home away from home!

This home away from home is located in the perfect spot. Just a couple minute walk to a beautiful beach, sunrise is the best time. 5 minute walk to coconut marketplace. There is a big ABC store for all your needs. This property is located perfect for going north or south. You're right in the middle, limiting your travel time so you can make the most out of your day. The unit is just as pictured. Clean and very comfortable with a fully stocked kitchen, beach towels and cooler. I saw reviews of road noise, but it didn't seem noisy at all with the exception of an occasional siren. I would definitely stay here again!

It is a great location in Kauai; however too close to a main road that is noisy 24/7. The resort is quite old and needs some updating. The oven was not really usable. The bed was uncomfortable and the patio not pleasant. I don't think this was good value for money

Awesome location, the room was great

The property was great. Parking was always available. We checked in and walked two minutes to a beautiful beach. Right next to the property is a great market with some good eating options and JoJo's Shave Ice, which we got every night. The place was clean. It was really nice having an air conditioning in the living room and the bedroom. They weren't very powerful, but worked well enough to keep the place comfortable. The pull-out bed was easy and sheets and blankets were supplied. One of our favorite amenities was that they supplied a bag and cooler, beach chairs, an umbrella, and beach towels. This is important to us because we can't haul all of that stuff on the plane, and we don't want to buy it just for a few days on the island. Our only complaint was that the beach umbrella was broken, so we couldn't use it. And the unit next to us supplied the renters with boogie boards, which would have been a nice touch. I'd recommend the owners invest in a new umbrella and some boogie boards, as this is one of the things we look for in a rental like this. Overall, the place was great. It's an awesome location that puts you close to Lihue, and at a good halfway point between Princeville and Waimea. Lots of great beaches close by, and good food options. I recommend, and we will probably be back.

The condo was perfect for our family of four. It was convenient near shops, not far from Lihue, and the kids enjoyed the pool and the beach right across the street.
