TROPICAL ANUENUE COTTAGE


Beautiful cottage in tropical setting with lanai overlooking lush tropical garden. Newly remodeled 2 bedroom one bath with full sized kitchen. You have free WiFi and smart TV.

Comes with great queen size bed as well as two (2) twin beds. Also portable crib. This cottage is for no more than 4 guests. Garden area is rough, grass covered lava. Children should be supervised if wanting to walk the garden.

You are centrally located to visit many areas of interest while visiting our island. We are located close to a hike to Shipman.
Visit black sand beach or the volcanoes.
Common to see feral livestock.
No pets.

This property like almost all properties in Hawaiian Paradise Park is on "water catchment". This means we collect rain water for bathing, washing and cooking. Our water is treated with a two (2) filter system and a UV Blue light. We also supply county drinking water in the kitchen (crock), with extra bottles under the bar top.
We have security cameras located outside. One over the front door, one on side of cottage and one at the back steps to Lanai. There are NO INSIDE cameras at this location.

Perfect little cottage

We absolutely loved our stay at Anuenue Cottage! The cottage was immaculately clean and well equipped. It served as the perfect jumping off point for us to explore the east side of the island. The cool breeze and coqui frogs’ chirping lulled us to sleep each night. We also enjoyed hanging out and eating our meals on the lanai, where we were visited by a variety of colorful lizards. We highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again if we come back to the Big Island. Mahalo!

Charming rain forest cottage

Lovely stay in a charming cottage. Location was rural which is exactly what we wanted. Enjoyed the birds and rain forest flowers and plants in between trips to Volcanoes National Park. Having a kitchen, laundry facilities made the trip way easier. FYI roosters and singing frogs are part of the nocturnal soundscape anywhere on the big island and this place is no different. Hosts thoughtfully provided earplugs if needed

Lovely cottage close the The Cliffs

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage that had everything we needed (including beach chairs, umbrella and cooler!). The owner was super helpful and kind in making sure everything was perfect for us. We love staying south of Hilo where we have more access to the Paradise Cliffs and morning dawn hikes along this magnificent coastline. Groceries, stores, restaurants, markets are all easily available, too. It's also an easy drive into Hilo, as well. We had a wonderful time!

Beautiful garden cottage off the beaten path

The cottage was clean and supplied all the necessities. There were even beach chairs, an umbrella, a cooler, and boogie board you could borrow while staying there. Located about 30 min from Hilo in Keeau, not far from Volcano, near Mauna Loa Macadamia nut farm and some of the Southeastern beaches. The chirping of the Coqui frogs could be loud but there were earplugs provided. No AC but lots of fans. I loved the feel of being in a tropical location far from home. We very much enjoyed our stay and being surrounded by nature!

A perfect retreat, made for a perfect jumping off point to explore the eastern and southern spots of the Big Island. The host was terrific with local recommendations and accomodations for our 4 months old. Would come back in a heartbeat!

Overall, the accommodations were fine. It would have been nice to have some available outlets for charging electronics. Everything a person needed in the kitchen was provided. We would have loved to explore the grounds but the rain didn't allow for that.

Lovely cottage in the jungle

We absolutely loved our stay at the cottage. Its located in a beautiful secluded neighborhood, which makes you feel isolated from the rest of the world, while everything you need is within 20 minute drive. The house is very cute, has all the amenities, beautifully decorated and cozy. The host was very responsive and even provided local tips which was very helpful. We loved having meals at the lanai with a view. Overall it was a perfect place to experience the Big Island.

We fell in love with this ticked away cottage. We met the owner, a great woman. Whenever I had a question and measaged via Vrbo I received immediate answers. The cottage is well kept and has a great home feeling. The porch is great and the grounds are beautiful. The owner is very well organized and on property! We will definitely request a future stay! Perfect R&R

A quiet little cottage away from the hustle and bustle of life. A short drive from a great place to hangout and watch the waves. Had great internet service and lots of fans thank goodness to help with humidity. There was a small mishap and the owner as well as property manager were quick to fix! Bedding was clean and comfortable to sleep. Perfect home for a family of 3. We will definitely be back!

Great visit on east island!

We had a lovely trip to east island Hawaii. We got to see volcano, Pahoa, Hilo. The house had everything we needed and more. We v much appreciated the large water dispenser - we went on hikes and it was good to refill our bottles for the walk. Everything was super easy and convenient. We ate on back deck and played dominoes both nights. The only negative was the coqui frogs. The ear plugs came in v handy. They are a loud species.

The owners friendly and available. Cottage a little too damp but its rainy season. Enjoyed the back porch and yard. Beds were comfortable and plenty of linen, towels, blankets, etc.. No use of oven and w/covid. . Qho knows when that will be replaced so an outdoor grill would have been really nice in either ubder the front breezeway or in the backyard near the lounge chair. Unfortunately we had to make due with a toaster over and broiling shrimp and scallops was a little bit of a challenge. Other than that the kitchen was very well stocked with coffee maker, utensils, plates, paper towels, toilet paper etc and laundry detergent. My only other complaint... "the wild roosters !!!" They were a bit too much at times but the owners had no control over that and I hope u don't mind the sounds of the coqui... (frog) native from Puerto Rico who made their way to Hawaii back in 1980's. Overall a 4 out of 5 rating. Thank u Emilia.
