The Bay Pearl of Agia Efimia

The Bay Pearl is located in the beautiful port town of Agia Efimia, Kefalonia. This cozy home's location gives you the best of both worlds where you can either relax in the peaceful courtyard garden or you can take an easy walk through the town and harbour, making your way to one of our beautiful white pebble beaches. The Bay Pearl also comes with secure parking on premises, next to our beautiful orange tree, so that you are only steps from your door and will never hunt for a spot to keep your car.

The house and grounds were fully renovated in 2023, offering an open floor plan with two bedrooms. It has a wonderful, secluded garden where you can relax in our porch swing. You will also have a private outdoor covered dining area with a traditional charcoal barbecue and a propane grill to satisfy your inner chef.

For those wanting to explore the local restaurants, there is a traditional Greek taverna located just across the street which serves some of the best food in the area. In fact, Agia Efimia has a great selection of restaurants, cafes and bars with the majority having splendid views across the Ionian sea to the neighbouring island of Ithaca. With a short ferry ride from Sami to Ithaca, you can experience the island home of Odysseus, as told in the ancient Greek story of Homer’s Odyssey.

For those who want to explore the island, Agia Efimia is a great starting point. In fact, the Daily Mail just named it one of Greece’s best kept secrets.The world famous Myrtos beach is just 9km away to the west, the beautiful port town of Fiskardo is a must visit destination and is less than 30km away to the north. Drive 9km south and you will soon be in the bigger port town of Sami where you can visit the amazing Melissani underground lake or head to the stunning Antisamos beach. This beach was made famous as it was used in the film ‘Captain Corelli's Mandolin’. Carry on south and over the highest mountain range in the Ionian and you will soon be in the island capital of Argostoli. The airport is located just 38km away.
