This is a lovely hotel with a friendly welcome.
If you've been walking then you'll really appreciate the deep hot bath.
There a nice bar with food service downstairs and breakfast was great.
We stayed at the Border Hotel for a couple of nights while walking St Cuthbertâs Way. The bath was a very welcome addition to the bathroom & we certainly made use of it during our stay. The bed was a little too soft & a bit lopsided but after our hikes we slept like logs anyway. This is a no frills hotel but it had everything we needed. Hearty food & a lovely friendly team.
Dinner and cooked breakfast was very good. Room basic but clean but no heating on when we got in so very cold until we put radiators on also cold eating downstairs on the evening had to put another jumper on to be comfortable
Welcome from staff in bar good, room confortable-no mirror for drying hair .
Limited menu in bar for evening meals
Great breakfast although the large room was a bit chilly and there were only two table to be served.
Absolutely loved it! Our apartment room was perfect for my and my two sons and the staff could not have been more helpful. Looking for an excuse to go back already!
