Summary:
Located in the historic carriage house is the Loft—a fully equipped apartment with historic architectural features. The Loft features 2 full bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with a double bed, and a shared full bathroom. The living room is incredibly spacious with a pull-out sofa bed. The dining room comfortably seats six people, and there is a desk for work. The kitchen is well stocked with a full-size stove, oven, and refrigerator. A full array of cooking utensils, pots and pans as well as table settings, is available. A traditional drip coffee maker with coffee and condiments is included. High-speed internet and a Smart TV are included. There is one on-site parking space, with nearby street parking for additional vehicles. The Loft is located just two blocks off the main street in Historic Kennett Square. A leisurely stroll will take you to locally owned restaurants, boutique shops, craft breweries, and more. Located just 35 minutes from Philadelphia airport, we are close to Wilmington and Newark DE, and Lancaster, PA. Our local must-see attractions include Longwood Gardens, Brandywine River Museum, Winterthur, and the Brandywine Battlefield. Downtown West Chester, with its vibrant food scene, is less than thirty minutes away. The Loft is located on the 2nd floor of the Carriage House and requires stair access. Combo washer/dryer is availble in the Loft.

We are located just 1 block off of the main street in Historic Kennett Square. It's an easy walk into our small town to enjoy shops, restaurants, art galleries, and history.

What a great property! The VRBO was beautiful, very comfortable and has excellent interior design. Most everything in there is of excellent quality. The only thing that wasn’t excellent was the WIFI, it was spotty and slow but not bad enough to contact the owners about so unless you’re working online during your stay don’t worry about it. The surrounding neighborhoods are beautiful for walking and there are several great restaurants and coffee shops right around the corner.

A lot of character

My family (2 adults and 2 kids - 5 and 7) picked Kennett Square for a weekend trip and found this very charming apartment with a lot of character going on. Walking distance from the downtown area, this unit is on a very quiet street (or at least it *was* quiet until my kids got there...) with plenty of restaurants and shops within a ten minute walk. Longwood Gardens is probably the area's main attraction, but certainly not the only one. We visited the Delaware Museum of Natural History and the American Helicopter Museum - all within a half hour drive. Great for my boys. As for the unit itself, there was a comfortable amount of room for 4. The beds were soft, the linens were clean, and the full size kitchen was perfect for us. Recently updated, it had plenty of glassware and utensils, but (if I'm going to nitpick) there could have been a few more pots and pans. This is by no means a mark against it, but if you plan to cook a big dinner, you might want to come prepared. Very glad to have been able to stay here and would recommend to a friend.

Garden roadtrip

My friend & I chose this property because it was near Longwood Gardens and Winterthur Gardens which was the reason for our roadtrip. This property was perfect! It was a fun, sweet little oasis in between our day trips. Lots of room to relax with all the amenities of home. We enjoyed the cozy cottage feel that it had and truly felt “home away fro home”. We would come here again and will recommend.

Convenient charm

The whole family loved this cozy loft -- lots of fun nooks and crannies. It was out first time to Kennett Square, and this property was within walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops, and even to the great disc golf course at the local park. Having this type of rental right in the middle of town makes it much more likely that we'll come back for more.

Cotswold Ambiance in Kennett Square

This charming cottage is pristine! Beautifully maintained. Beautifully decorated with pieces that ooze warmth and home. Location is incredible. Coffee, shops and restaurants within walking distance-and there is an amazing local food scene here. A super short drive over to Longwood Gardens. Beautiful streets to walk on. A public park with a walking trail is a block away. Communication with the owner was timely and incredibly helpful. I brought my Momma and we met my Auntie to celebrate their April birthdays. They had a fantabulous time. 10/10 recommend. I’ll definitely be back!
