B-105 Moon Bay | 3 Bed, 2.5 Bath

6-night minimum stay requirement.

Lovely bayside townhouse with 2 bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths on the main floor and a studio apartment ground floor with a kitchenette accessible via an exterior staircase and just steps to the heated swimming pool.

An updated kitchen with stainless appliances and a southwestern flare offers an open sightline into the living room for ease of conversation while the chef-of-the day prepares meals.

The master bedroom has a king bed and work nook while the guest bedroom on this level has a queen. The ground floor studio offers private accommodations accessible via an outside staircase (no interior access) with two single beds, a fully equipped kitchenette and bathroom for the nanny or in-laws.

Hop on your boat and in a minute be out on Blackwater Sound fishing, tubing or just a leisurely boat ride.  This boat slip has a 24' maximum length (including bow extension and engines in the up position. ($100,000 minimum liability insurance required to be on file prior to bringing the boat into the marina.)  The boat can be launched and trailers stored at nearby Caribbean Club for an additional fee. No boat trailer storage or launch facilities are available within the gates of Moon Bay.  (Additional charge applies if needing the boat slip).

Moon Bay offers many amenities in this gated property. The shared pool is heated and for little ones...there is a shallow depth children's pool as well.  Recently renovated tennis courts and game area with basketball, shuffleboard and other outdoor game opportunities.  The clubhouse offers ping-pong, foosball, bathrooms, steam rooms, TV and kitchen facilities and also a roof top sunning area. A great place to enjoy beautiful sunsets!  Picnic tables with charcoal grills are conveniently located at the marina and clubhouse area.

Moon Bay is located just over one mile from John Pennekamp State Park. Restaurants and bars abound.  Some in walking distance.

If you are looking for a vacation with amenities to keep everyone entertained and happy...Moon Bay is an excellent choice!

Great spot

Stayed here with my husband and 2 teenagers and had a great time. Kids loved the pool and games in the clubhouse. Kitchen was stocked with quite a bit of utensils and necessities. Rooms were clean and had fans. Would stay again

Great location. Clean, good beds, grounds beautiful and well maintained. Prompt response from staff for tv problem. Lower unit poorly stocked and garbage disposal not working in upper unit. Overall a wonderful stay.

UNsafe, UNclean rental property in disrepair

This is not a townhouse as there is no inside access to the lower level and no 2nd or fire exit from the lower level unit. It is two separate units with 2 separate entrances and door key locks. Barefeet Rentals maintenance helped us access the stuck lower level door on the first evening. Those who later went to the downstairs unit at bedtime found it to be disgustingly filthy with a sticky counter, dirty floor including an empty can, a dead bug, a pepto bismol pill, gritty carpet and stained sheets. Each day we discovered additional repairs needed including a cracked toilet, loose floor tiles, broken blinds in 3 areas of the unit, twisted curtains, leaky faucet, off-balance closet slider door that would not stay closed, rodent hole chewed through the screen on the porch. One must sit on a pillow on the upper unit sofa so as not to feel as if sitting on the floor. The ceramic dishes are chipped in the surface area which can harbor bacteria. The last day, tried unsuccessfully to pull out the lower level sofa bed and found a rag in dried vomit. This is hard to UN-see. On the 3rd day maintenance came to fix the dishwasher that had standing grey water in the bottom. He was also able to fix the lock on the back slider door that was loose and difficult to lock. He replaced the missing vertical blind slat, 2 light bulbs and 2 clock batteries. He noted that they don’t know something is broken until someone tells them. In this situation, the paying guest was expected to provide a list of maintenance concerns. While maintenance was at the unit, a housekeeper arrived unannounced to change the twin sheets that we had already washed and put back on the bed the day before. The Vrbo picture includes kayaks that were not available for our use and this was not clearly communicated. This is a boat dock and not a wading or swimming beach. We have shared pictures of our concerns and have communicated with Vrbo as this was our first Vrbo experience. We are also waiting for a response from Barefeet Rental Agency.

Awesome Location

The location is private and secured. It was well kept and plenty to do. The pool does need work, but that was explained while we were there. They are proposing a refurbish but even the way it was the pool worked fine. The place we were at was perfect! Very well designed. We did call about a dirty air conditioning filter, which they never changed and called about a ceiling fan and down stairs TV not working which were never addressed. This didn’t change what we thought about the location. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Nice location

We always enjoy Moon Bay and the slip is included with this rental, which was awesome! Two separate rooms connected by an exterior spiral staircase gave us lots of room and we enjoyed the balcony. Room is right there at the pool. Super convenient. The downstairs apartment allowed my son and daughter in law to have their own space, which was nice. Some of the fixtures could use updating and main bedroom has no dresser to put clothes in. Otherwise a nice stay and the rental company was very responsive. Had an issue with bedroom blinds that were fixed same day. Staff was friendly. Would definitely book this one again.

Great Amenities/No frills

The property included excellent amenities. We especially enjoyed the small beach and grill area, clubhouse, pool, and tennis courts. The washer/dryer in the property was invaluable, as was dehumidifier in basement bath. Barefeet rentals was prompt with all requests and questions. The unit needs a deep clean and paint job but was perfectly acceptable and met our needs.

Worst VRBO Experience Ever - Left After 3 Days of 7 Day Rental

Don't rent thru Barefoot. Did not provide info necessary to access the property. No after hours emergency contact to get the info. (Only disclosed to us after had our money.) Property not well maintained. A/C didn't work. Bedding old and worn out.

Loved the area down stairs sleeper sofa not comfortable at all. A few things weren’t cleaned well. When checking in to pick up our form we went after hours; we were luck we to find a lady working there or else we would have not be able to stay due to a codo. I was never emailed code or given code to unlock box. I emailed my information twice and called. They said everything was set and I would receive email. When we arrived I call the numbers left VM didn’t get a call back. During our stay we had an appraiser come. Somewhat awkward but we allowed them to do what was needed. Some update are needed like microwave. Stove fan and light. Sliding door come out of place. Empty games boxes. Over all it was an okay stay. Beach was nice pool nice
