The Space:

Enjoy a relaxing stay at this Inlet Cove villa, which features serene views of the woodland landscape of Kiawah Island. This retreat features a sunny deck, a lovely screened porch, and community access to an outdoor swimming pool and a pier on the Kiawah River where you can go fishing, crabbing, or canoeing.



This home is part of the gated Inlet Cove community that abuts the Kiawah River, where you'll be an easy walk or bike ride from the beach, the general store, an assortment of activities, bike trails, and shopping and dining in West Beach Village. Upon entering Kiawah Island, the neighborhood is the first gated community, making it conveniently close to Freshfields Village for dining and shopping two miles northwest. For a memorable day trip, hop in the car and take the 25-mile drive into downtown Charleston to explore all the fascinating history and delicious cuisine the city offers.

We loved the location and enjoyed Beachwalker Park and the sunsets by the river which was less than a block away. The home was cozy, clean, and nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable. Our pup loved the screened in porch and watching the squirrels.

Great getaway

We had a wonderful stay at Kiawah! We were not expecting as far of a walk to the beach as we had, but it was doable for us. Our parents on the older side were not able to make the walk and we drove to the paid portion of the beach for them. Very nice accommodations, gorgeous area! Lots of local restaurants and not a far drive to downtown Charleston.

My husband and I stayed at this property for the month of March with our golden retriever. The house was very clean and well appointed. There were plenty of dishes, towels, kitchen tools, and cookware. There was enough toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, soap to get us started for the month. The furniture was a bit on the older side but, honestly, it was perfect because we had our dog there and didn't have to worry about her getting light colored furniture dirty. We used the outdoor grill often as well as the front deck and the screened in porch. One piece of information that I couldn't find ahead of time was whether or not we could get through the gate in our car at Kiawah. It turned out that we could! Our car passes gave us easy passage through the security gate. Now the downside - Vacasa. Others have mentioned this but, initially, we were given the wrong codes to drive through the property gate. It took multiple attempts to finally get the correct code (just before we drove in)! I asked multiple times for the code to the pool and dock area but couldn't get an answer over the course of days. I finally thought to call the local Vacasa office and got the codes within the hour. From that point forward I only contacted the local Vacasa for things like where to park a third car and how to get more propane for the grill. They were very helpful. What I suspect is a national Vacasa contact was worthless and very frustrating.

Great home.

Be aware that there aren't enough wash clothes for more than a day and that the property manager doesn't supply enough washing machine and dishwasher soap. Even though it says linens are supplied. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything a person needs to cook a meal.

Issues with Vacasa

This was a Vacasa property. Issue not with Vrbo per day. For check in, they neglected to provide Gate code for gated community and the Entry code to house provided was wrong! A horrible way to start vacation and I will be escalating with Vacasa.

Enjoyable!

The cottage was well equipped for cooking meals, resting, and having plenty of space to "spread out and relax". With the screened porch as well as the front and rear decks, we could sit in the sun, or the shade. It was also nice to have a propane grill to use. Staying at this cottage/home was a great experience for us.

Great Kiawah Vacation

Had a great visit. Rented bikes and enjoyed biking to the beach each day through the park down the road. Enjoyed the house and the pool around the corner. Only complaint was that we would have loved a few more bath towels, but absolutely would love to return.

Cleanest cottage I have ever rented.

Great location by wonderful Inlet Cove pool. I am older so a couple of grab bars in the nice large shower would be good! We would rent it again and probably will if they will have me! Ha

The house was well appointed and spotless, with lots of helpful info in the welcome book. It was in a lovely community with still lots of privacy. Easy walk to a beautiful beach for great walks along the ocean. We would highly recommend this property.

Family Weekend

Gorgeous area, beautiful home, perfect for a weekend with family. Although we did not end up bringing a dog, it was nice to have the option, and there was no hint of a dog ever being there prior to us. Aside from just relaxing at the house, we spent a lot of time at Freshfields and The Sanctuary, both very close to the property. For our next trip, we will definitely be adding a kayak trip to Captain Sam's Spit to see the dolphins strand feed, a round of golf, and horseback riding on the beach at Seabrook. So much to do, and such a stunning area.
