Great front desk service! I was helped right away, they were able to accommodate my switch from city view to dune view, pet-friendly. The hotel is a little aged, but they are working through some renovations. Overall good, and very conviently located on the beach and in the middle of the island.

We very much appreciate you choosing our oceanfront hotel in your travel plans recently, Shannon, and we hope you and your family had a nice time. Despite the weather being cooler, there are always things to do and see in the Outer Banks. Pretty stretches of beach, nearby historic attractions, shopping and more. It would be our pleasure to have you back again for a longer stay to enjoy all the fun things to do in the area.

We were able to get early check-in around 1:00, which was awesome! The beach is amazing. Busy, but it’s August, so that’s to be expected. The only downfall is the restaurant is closed Sundays and Mondays…

Jennifer, we are so appreciative of your perfect review score and for letting us know you had an excellent time during your overnight trip to the beach. Our team does work diligently to check people in quickly and it is great to hear they were able to accommodate you. Hopefully, that allowed you extra time to relax on the warm sand watching the waves roll to shore or to enjoy a good book. We are sure your family also loved spending time together in our outdoor pool as well. Our onsite restaurant is open Tuesday – Saturday and we are sorry if you did not have the chance to dine with us. However, we are conveniently located to plenty of other delicious dining options. We value your business and do hope to see you again in the future.

Booked in January for a ocean view room with balcony, last minute decided to bring our daschund and pay the extra pet fee per night. No where on the site stated pet rooms were only on the 1st floor, so we were moved with no view but of construction. The site did not say they were performing upgrades and that the access to the beach was only through the hotel on the second floor, and that the pool was closed. There were no signs indicating where any ice machine were, and we went on some bizzare Easter Egg hunt looking for ice. Found a sock in the chair that was in the room, and rust came out of the shower when you turned on the water. We will never stay at this hotel again and will be sure to let our friends know. Furthermore the hotel next door had an enclosed grassy area specifically for pets with provided bags and trash bin for bathroom disposal. This hotel had nothing but a paved parking lot. Worst experience we've had traveling in 40 years.

Ralph, we are extremely disappointed to read about your experience at our oceanfront hotel and so sorry for any dissatisfaction. We do dedicate our 1st floor rooms to those traveling with pets so they can have easy access to the outdoors fast and when needed as many have secondary doors leading directly outside. Our main hotel website does state the temporary closure of the pool and there are automated responses sent to all reservation confirmations upon booking. We’ve tried to do our best to alert guests in advance, especially since we’ve had some delays due to unexpected supply/part issues. We’ll be sure to share your comments with our staff immediately about the quality of your room and have it researched and corrected immediately. We do hope you still found value in having the beautiful Atlantic Ocean right out our back door and liked our central location that is conveniently near plenty of shopping, dining, and fun attractions. Thank you for your feedback, and we are truly sorry you did not have a better time while staying with us.

The front desk specialist was highly professional throughout the check in process. They upgraded my room to an ocean front balcony with incredible sunsets and sunrises. When I observed the rack of children’s books in the hotel store. I mentioned the Amazon book published by my wife and I called Charlie’s Veggie Doodles. Also I provided copies from our book sale at Mount Olive Church for review by the Ramada GM.

Way to go on your new book and thanks for letting us know! Yes, our beach views are amazing, and sometimes, if you are lucky, you can catch a glimpse of the playful dolphins as they ride the surf. We have daily housekeeping and are 100% smoke-free so are happy to read that you appreciated our detail to cleanliness. Our hotel has many helpful amenities such as free guest laundry facilities, which may have been helpful to you and your family as well. We hope you got to take a stroll down the beach or were able to explore the amazing Outer Banks area. Thanks again and we look forward to having you back.

Thank you for your excellent review rating, James. We take great pride in the cleanliness and services that we offer our guests here at our unique beachfront property location. Our ocean views are amazing either from the privacy of the room’s balcony or from our sprawling back deck area. Our peaceful spot on the beach is a great place to vacation any time of year. We appreciate your patience while our pool is under construction, and hope you’ll return back again so that we can show you the amazing results once it’s complete. In the meantime, we do offer guests a free pass to our local YMCA should they want that as an option. Please don’t forget to book us in your future plans, the next time you are back in the Outer Banks area.

Only reason for staying the night was for indoor pool….paid more just for this !!!! Pool under renovations…was givin the opportunity to use YMCA pool down the street…room checkin was 4 o’clock..POOL CLOSED AT 3 o’clock …NOT HAPPY AT ALL WITH SERVICE…wouldn’t waste my money !!!!

It is truly disappointing to read your comments and know that you and your children did not have a better experience at our oceanfront hotel. There is never a good time to take a pool offline for renovations, but we had scheduled this upgrade a while ago and posted alerts on all major websites. We have big plans for that area and are looking forward to unveiling it to our customers in May sometime. Please accept our apology if you did not see our notices about its closure beforehand, because we never want to disappoint our visitors.

Booked ocean view room and called number posted to say I was bringing 2 dogs. Told $35 fee for each dog. Get to hotel no dogs allowed in ocean view room had to downgrade to regular room and hotel refused to refund difference. Hotel was supposed to have indoor hot tub/pool but the whole area was torn up. No easy access to beach at all. Construction throughout hotel

Thank you for your review of our property. All information regarding the pool renovation and our pet policy is provided as part of the confirmation email sent when a room is booked. Information regarding the pool renovation has been available on our main Ramada website since December 2022 and we are offering free daily passes to the local YMCA available at the front desk. (Signage posted near pool). Our pet policy is also available on our main Ramada website. The beach can be easily accessed by exiting through the door marked "Beach Access" in our lounge area located near the breakfast buffet. Regarding the cost difference: While we can not directly refund room cost due to prepayment to a third party, compensation for the cost difference was provided by not charging the additional pet fee.Thank youRamada team.
