Denis and Irene are the nicest people on the planet. They share their home and welcome travelers. They provide many amenities for their guests. My only suggestion, as a traveler from the United States, is to explain the directions to the property fully. For example, we did not know that the zip code for the property is in fact the house number, etc. In the states, a zip code only tells the city or town. If you put the zip code into google maps it should take you to the house. Also a learning curve to learn how to operate appliances and shower, but we figured it out. They are kind people who want you to have an amazing stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Denis and Irene’s countryside home! They are such kind hosts, leaving homemade scones and plenty of breakfast food. The house is beautiful, with comfy beds, lots of towels, a well-stocked kitchen, and easy parking. Peaceful countryside setting, an easy drive to the city, and a great home base for exploring the Ring of Kerry. We’d stay again in a heartbeat!

We stayed here for one night after a tour of the Ring of Kerry and before a drive to Galway. I wish we had planned to stay another night, not only because Killarney was so wonderful, but because Irene and Denis's place was as well. Irene met us when we checked in. Their home is charming, comfortable and they left us delicious scones and a fridge stocked with breakfast essentials. This was well appreciated. There are some things on the listing that were not quite accurate that should be mentioned. The listing states one bathroom. Two of the bedrooms had en suite baths and the other bedrooms had sinks in them and had shared access to a full bathroom. This was a pleasant surprise for our family. Also, the map on the listing indicates that the home is closer to the town of Killarney than it actually is. Based on the listing map, we thought we might be able to walk into town, but the home is much further out. But there were plenty of taxis available and the country location was ideal for a peaceful night. I highly recommend staying in Irene and Denis's home.

Excellent host the scones and apple pie they left to welcome us was most appreciated after a long journey. Accommodation was very spacious with a lovely garden in a very peaceful part of the world. Had a great stay.

Incredible hosts, beautiful home

Our favorite stay on a two week long trip. Denis and Irene are lovely people and welcomed my family with the utmost hospitality. I recommend their spacious home to anyone who is looking to stay close to downtown Killarney.

Nice, quiet home

This home suited us fine, since we didn't want to stay in Killarney town, and yet wanted to be in the area for outdoors activities. This is one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed in! I was a bit uncertain about it since there were no outdoor pictures in the listing, but the home is very nice inside and outside. The hosts have divided their home into the rental and their home, which isn't clear from the listing. It didn't bother us, but this was not expected. We enjoyed speaking to the host, who was interesting and very hospitable. We found the beds to be small and mattresses felt old, but that was our only complaint with the comfort of the stay.

Lovely stay in home north of Killarney

The house was beautifully kept and hosting was lovely. Fresh scones and butter in the kitchen upon arrival. Hosts do live on premises but house is very well divided for privacy.

This house was so beautiful and in a lovely, quiet setting 10 minutes from the town center. Denis was a welcoming host and even left delicious scones for our family to enjoy when we arrived. We wish this was our forever home!

This property was absolutely incredible!! Perfectly suited our family of 5 with tons of extra room. It was spacious and clean and comfortable! Incredible experience! We've done a lot of VRBO rentals and Denis and Irene were some of the best hosts we've ever had. Why were they so awesome? Because they simply cared about us. AMAZING hosts, property, and location

I WILL be back. I will recommend this property to anyone that will listen. The house was spotless, so comfortable, and the hosts were truly amazing. Upon arrival, we were personally greeted by the hosts. We entered to find a homemade apple pie and fine bottle of French wine. The hosts shared all of their knowledge of Killarney as well as the entire country. The house was very roomy and also extremely well-appointed. This was, without question, the BEST value I have EVER EXPERIENCED in renting a property. There was also a full library and a selection of games, Thank you Denis and Irene!!!
