Not Ready for Short-term Rental
At least the clouds broke for the eclipse.
We were traveling from 3 different parts of the country as a family for the eclipse. We have been planning this trip for 3 years and chose this area 2 years ago and settled on this property 18 months ahead of time.
From getting check-in details followed by trouble getting the front door lock repaired, other maintenance issues, owner ghosting us, failure to supply promised cooler, broken glass on the patios, broken patio gate (we had a 3 year old with us), mold on the patio cushions, lack of drinkware, dirty refrigerator with expired foods and lack of renter storage space, extremely dirty freezer again with no space set aside for renters, no lights in bathroom the 2 guests that paid for the property rental had to use, open showers in spaces too small for the concept so the rest of the bathroom gets wet, way too much owner clutter.
Beautiful location and nice property that was disappointedly presented as a rental with very limited support from owner (cannot be called a host).
