We booked this last minute and didnât know what to expect. It was our first time to the area. We were pleasantly surprised. The room/condo was right in the beach with beautiful views of the ocean from our deck. Only a few steps away from the beach. The tennis/pickleball court was in excellent condition, with good equipment! We did have to buy our own pickleballs (not a big deal)and enjoyed it every day. The pool was going through what looks like some much needed renovations. Not a big deal, we were there for the beach. We enjoyed watching the dolphins, and the quiet beach. We enjoyed the short drive to Duck and the adorable shops. The room/condo was equipped with everything! The bed was excellent and the pull-out couch clean but the pillows could use some updating. There was a moldy smell near the sliding doors and a water stain on the ceiling. The half bath also had a moldy/closed up smell. This didnât bother us but may others. But there was an half bath!! Everything was very clean and We would definitely book here again.
You canât beat the location, that part was amazing. Staff was friendly. Iâm not a snob or bougie but this place was run down. I would have considered staying here again but the bath water I ran for my daughter was brown.
The staff, location, and view were excellent. The condition of the condo was surprisingly poor. Our oven and refrigerator were not in good working order. Only one burner on the stove top worked and dining chairs are so rickety it felt like they are all getting ready to fall apart. The condo is spacious and has a great view, but the condo is out dated by at least 40 years. It's still in the late 70's early 80's style. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but we had to lower our standards.
We booked this property for the indoor pool knowing that the ocean would be too cold to swim being in April. When we arrived, we were informed that the indoor pool was closed due to renovations. They said their sister resort had an indoor pool that we were allowed to use. When we visited their resort, the pool was also closed due to construction.
Our family (kids 11 and 8 yrs) had a wonderful time. Canât beat the location or view of the beach. 2 mile walk to town, if you bike, it would take you 10 min. The place was very clean. My kids loved the game room and being able to walk right out to the beach. They were disappointed the pool was under construction, but it is the off season. I appreciated a free laundry facility and having simple kitchen supplies. The place it dated, but itâs like visiting your grandma. If you do have any issues with mobility or have babies you have to carry, I can see where getting up to the condos and to the beach would be an issue. We had a 10/10 time and plan to be back next year.
I was able to sit on the balcony and see the sunrise and watch dolphins playing in the ocean. If we had an issue they were right there to take care off it.
We recently enjoyed a fantastic family vacation with our two teenagers at this hotel. The location is perfect, just steps away from the ocean, and the apartment was spacious and well-appointed. The beach was stunning and pleasantly uncrowded, making it a peaceful retreat. Our kids even got up early twice to watch the sunrise (yes, teenagers!).
The kitchen was well-equipped, allowing us to cook some meals and save money. The facility also has an indoor pool and a hot tub, which I made good use of, as well as a game room and a small gym that kept everyone entertained.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating, helping us extend our stay.
We would definitely come back and highly recommend this hotel to others.
I loved the oak trees and the birds. Our site had an amazing view of the ocean as we were on the 3rd floor. We saw humpback whales, dolphins, pelicans, terns, grebes, and more. We appreciated our time there and intend to return.
Cute unit but not worth it - the after hours check in was about the only smooth process. I went to pay the $10 nightly fee, but their system was down. We left our number so we could come back later. Amanda called a few hours later who very rudely stated that we had a balance due on our account that we had to pay immediately. We went to the office and gave our card to pay the amount owed. Amanda called the next day stating that our card was declined. Turns out that she charged someone's MasterCard and we only use Visa. Once we got that situated, we went out to do some shopping and while we were out, I received another phone call from Amanda advising that the housekeepers had informed her that when they went to clean our unit, all of our stuff was still in there. I advised that we still had another day on our reservation. Amanda was adamant that we were supposed to check out that day and had already checked us out (she charged us $40 for nightly rate even though she checked us out after 3 days). After a few minutes of back and forth, she admitted we were supposed to check out the following day. We got back to the unit and the door was unlocked and slightly opened from where housekeeping was there earlier, leaving our items unsecured. When I addressed this with her in person, she was overall dismissive. She said that due to the inconvenience, we wouldn't be charged for the 4th night. I had prepaid for the trip months ago and have yet to see a credit on my bank account.
We came to Ocean Pines with our infant twins and 4.5 year old. Let me start by saying these properties are not infant/toddler friendly as the stairs are treacherous and the railing is very wide. The next thing is the lack of reliability from the front office staff. I had called in advance for an inquiry. No answer and no return call. I called during our stay for house keeping to get necessities, no return call and no house keeping. Lastly, the suite was extremely dirty. There was p**p stains near the toilets, dry wall pealing off the walls, the place was just run down. The pool area was even more gross. We will be looking to stay elsewhere next time as this was just not a great property. One positive was that we were extremely close to the beach, but we struggled with no ramp to get there. Was tall steep steps, which made it hard to carry our infant twins and stuff to enjoy a day at the beach. Overall, disappointing stay. Definitely not worth the money they charge.
Right on the beach. The office was very good with communication. Rooms were alittle dated but they are doing alot of upgrading so thay will change really soon.
