The hotel is impressive when you enter, it is understaffed in the bar and restaurant. But the staff are friendly, food off the menu is OK, but breakfast was not very good, the eggs looked like flying saucers and had got rubbery, the mushrooms were cold, the bacon was undercooked I was lucky with the beans as they were literally topped up as I got there, the hash browns were tasty! The room was large, clean, and warm.

Lovely hotel, the staff were all helpful and friendly. It's located in walking distance from the town and a bus ride to Harrogate. The breakfast and evening meals were very nice.

Slight problem with room allocation and bed arrangements at start but manager (Sarah) sorted out really well and listened attentively. Otherwise usual high standards as expected.

Great service, very polite and helpful staff. The room was clean, the beds were comfy and the size of the family room was perfect for a family of 4. The location of the hotel was perfect, would definitely recommend.

I thought I had booked a hotel room but was actually accommodated in what they call the annex which is more like an American motel. Your door opens directly to the car park. The room was small and hot. Worth £60 a night but not £200
