We requested a check in at 3. Check in was at 4. As a property manager, I understand cleaning the property and the turnover process. However out request was met with AI responses, that they would let me know. No one ever followed up. A Simple request with a simple answer. No would have been a sufficient answer. However for the price of the unit, not responding is not.
The place was clean and in very good condition. The location was central to downtown Knoxville. However the parking was a little bit confusing and cumbersome. The confusion over the WiFi was frustrating and seemed unnecessary. The place was a little challenge to get to and had some issues - an alarm going off for a few hours (though the host had it addressed) and there were piles of packages right in front of the door most of our stay. So the location had potential to be great but a few issues made it just ok.
The experience I had was so awful that I left a full day early. I never asked or expected any refund so it isn't ab out the money. The real issue is with the host company called "Peace of Mind Lodging", if you see this as the host company just know that you will get the run-around for any issues that come up, and every response will be a delay. Let me try to explain the very simple requests that we never addressed.1. About 24 hours before check-in, I messaged the host to ask what type of coffee maker was in the house. They said there was a regular drip coffee maker (true) and a Keurig. My wife and I bought a few boxes of Keurig pods. The loft actually had a Nespresso machine, the pods I bought were useless (lie #1). More on this below.2. Once in the loft I wanted to watch some college football so we tried to connect the TV to the internet using the user name and password provided. We could not get the internet to work and after several texts and phone calls, there was no fix nor any information on having it fixed. Working internet (lie #2), "having it taken care of right away" (lie #3). Was never fixed.3. The host company said they will order a Keurig and it would be delivered between 4-6pm, it was never delivered (lie #4). Once I mentioned this to the host they said they had to re-order it and wanted me to wait around the loft until it was delivered so I could sign for it. I have so much more to say but have run out of characters. Avoid the host company!!!
