Townhouse is completely furnished - all you have to do is walk in and unpack your suitcase(s), and you will be home.

The kitchen is fully furnished with dinnerware sets, pots and pans, and all the kitchen utensils needed to prepare full meals at home. The appliances ware modern and work magnificently. Dishwasher, washer and dryer, everything you need to be home for the duration. Full size bathroom has a step in shower/tub combination. And then, there is the comfy king bedroom and the bunk bed bedroom with two full beds and two single beds.

Make your stay an extended stay and you don’t have to check out on weekends.

Townhouse is centrally located on highway TN 62. Here's just how convenient shopping, dining and fun is to my home. Go east and less than one mile on Oak Ridge Highway, TN 62, and there is a Walgreens and a brand new Ingle's super market. Close by is highway TN 162 which is a freeway to the west side of Knoxville, where your will find upscale shopping, restaurants and a Kroger or a Publix super market just off the freeway. And finally, if you drive North West to the town of Oak Ridge which is about 10+ minutes away, it too is overflowing with good restaurants and shopping. The only transportation/logistics drawback that we are aware of is that Oak Ridge highway, TN 62, is very busy during am and pm rush hours. But, with a little planning of your departures and arrivals you can schedule around any inconvenience.

Excellent Stay

House was very comfortable. The pictures don’t show all the improvements to the home and furniture and we were pleasantly surprised at all the differences. All the beds, the king bed and the bunk beds have super comfortable mattresses. The bunk beds have 10 inch adult mattresses. And the home was spotless. Frig has a few rust spots on the sides, but it doesn’t affect how much space it has and how cold it is. The covered back porch is where we sat and had morning coffee. Not certain when Ill be back to Knoxville, but I will be checking to see if this house is available again when I do.

Water issues

I rented this property for myself and family. It wasn’t for a vacation, it was for a family funeral. The water pressure wasn’t working properly on our arrival. I immediately notified the owner/manager, by leaving her a voicemail. The shower and sinks had BROWN water, and we had to buy water to brush our teeth. The response from owner came that she’d send someone over, and an apology. We couldn’t even shower before the funeral. Two of my guests had to stay elsewhere due to the water situation. I feel as if a partial refund was in order.

Home away from home

The house worked well for us for our baseball tournament in Knoxville. Easy clear directions for arrival and departure. There were tons of pans, cooking utensils and silverware. Some of the cooking utensils were broken or coming apart and need to be replaced, but there were other options so it was fine. It was nice having a washer and dryer but the washer didn't seem to clean very well and the dryer is missing the handle so we had to put something in it to open it up each time. The patio out back is so nice to sit on in the mornings and evenings. Plenty of seating for meals inside and comfy living room furniture. Sleeping space was as described. The upstairs window AC unit was a lifesaver for me as I like it cooler than the house is able to be set at. Towels for the bathroom were of nice quality and the bed sheets were comfortable. Staying there as a female without my husband, I wish the doors had a way of locking in addition to the key code. Anyone with the code could just come in when they wanted. Just made me a little nervous. Overall I would definitely stay here again, especially at this price point!

Comfortable place to sleep

It was a comfortable place to stay, but the stairs are no joke. Stairs to get into the home. Stairs to go to bed or to the bathroom, and the stairs are STEEP. Very quiet neighborhood. Responsive owner as well.

Nice little home away from home

All thumbs up.. minus the neighbors dog that barks all night. Really like the back porch to sit and relax. Nice place to down a cup of Joe in the morning. Stairs were a bit of an issue for my parents. A bit steep.... but for kids and us were no issue. Have stayed a few times now.

Great House for a Great Price

The house met all of our needs, it was plenty big and was fully stocked. It has a fenced in backyard for children, and is in a quiet neighborhood. The only "possible negative" is there are a lot of steep stairs. There are stairs to access the front door. All bedrooms and the bathroom are also on the second floor. The stairs are non-standard. This was NOT a negative for our family, as we are two healthy adults with 3 teen daughters. Without doubt, we give a 5 star review. If there are mobility issues in your group, this is not the house for you. If no issues, STAY HERE you will not be disappointed.

This is an OK property.

We arrived to an unclean house just before 9 PM. Beds were not made, sheets were on the floor, and kitchen was not clean. We tried to contact the property manager and could not get ahold of her, so we called VRBO. At first, they could not get ahold of her either. At about 10:15 PM I received a call from the property manager. She apologized about the property not being clean and had the house cleaner come in the next day. Since we were from out of state and unfamiliar with the area, we ended up staying the night at a hotel where it cost us over $200.00. When I asked the property manager if she would cover the cost of the hotel, she said she can only refund the cost of the night that we were not able to stay. I would think there might be a little more accommodation, but there was not. We came back the next afternoon, and the house had been cleaned and prepared for our stay as it should have been the previous night. There were a couple things that were not in the kitchen, like hot pad holders, or a cutting board, which I would think would be basic kitchen equipment. We tried to reach out to the owner but she never responded about those things. She was quick to tell us she would not be refunding more than the cost of one night. Communication with us seemed lacking after our arrival, and it had not been prior as she had responded to several questions we had in preparing for our stay. My over all rating of this property would be a "C." Over all once the property was cleaned, we were happy with the stay. As of this review, we have not received our refund.

Good experience

We are local and needed a place to say for a few days while some work was being done on our house that necessitated us being out of the house. The listing was accurate. The townhouse was clean, furnished more than adequately, and was comfortable. We did have an issue with not being able to access the televisions due to a technical glitch, but the owner had a tech person come out and reset things so we could access streaming. We saw none of the negative issues mentioned in some of the reviews of previous stays. The owner is true to her word when she said he addressed those issues. Overall we were pleased.

This house was perfect for us. It was very nice and clean and couldn’t beat the price. The host was very accommodating and went above and beyond to make it possible for my large family to stay. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone.

Great Stay in Knoxville

The house was very clean and had a great over all esthetic. There were 6 of us in our party and we all fit nicely with room to spare. There were only a couple downsides for our specific group being the slope of the entry and the steepness of the stairs to the second floor with a 19 month old was a bit worrisome, but it all worked out just fine. We were all very happy with our stay.

Not worth the money

Before we arrived communication with the owner was good. After we arrived we found the shower drain stopped up, messaged the owner but never heard back. I went to Home Depot bought what I needed and cleared the drain myself. Messaged the owner to let her know that I handled the issue and still never heard back. The kitchen was full of gnats and the backdoor would not lock

Ok, but still mildew smelling

The place was clean for the most part. Kitchen utensils and pots were not clean and had food caked on them. The mildew smell that said was remedied was still there (I think it comes from the dishwasher). There was a strong perfume smell of air freshener or something when we walked in trying to cover the musty smell. No screens on the windows or doors to help air the place out. The place was very humid, sheets felt damp at night. Overall it was ok, but not great.

Everything was great, the house did have a stale oder but was fine, trying to contact the property manager was difficult, and never recieved a call or email back with a concern but figured it out. Small Home in a Quiet Neighborhood

The house is quite small, but it worked well for us as a base to come back to at night after hitting museums and parks during the day. The neighborhood is also quiet. I have no complaints, and honestly it was a fantastic value when compared vs. a hotel room.

Beware! Musty odor and damp

We intended to stay five nights at this property. We arrived at 11pm the first night. We instantly noticed very damp odors, similar to that of a musty basement. The lateness of the hour and the fact that we had just drove eleven hours from NY, we decided to stay. There was rust on the vents and all up the side of the fridge, more indication of dampness. The bathroom did not have a fan and there were no screens on the windows for ventilation. First thing in the morning we packed up and booked a hotel. We called Sheila and told her our issue. We suggested she get a dehumidifier for each floor to help with the excess moisture. We also told her we were uncomfortable, health wise, staying the rest of our booked nights. We asked for a refund of the nights we didn't stay. We also informed her if she refused a refund and didn't take the suggestion of dehumidifiers, that we would have to review this property as is. Sheila said she would respond to our issue through email. She did not. If you have concerns with staying somewhere with musty, damp odor, you should book elsewhere. If you have concerns with a rental property owner that does not communicate with you regarding concerns, you should book elsewhere.
