i Was not happy with the way the rooms were very old and smelling not good holes in roof and gaps were mosquitoes can get in in need of new mattress needs a revamp some money spending on it with my health problems asthma eczema hay fever it would have affected me so I cancelled room straight away it had damp smells

Fantastic! Bad Name Though...

Pool trap is a terrible name and almost deterred us from booking. BUT perfect for the Full Moon Party! Room was super basic, two twin beds, a table, and tiny bathroom. But walking distance to the beach and if you only want a room to sleep in, it’s perfect. Service was great, the woman at the front desk gave us free water every time we saw her. Perfect breakfast place (with great coffee) attached as well.

Close to the beach

We came here for the full moon party, location is perfect - only a 10min walk to the beach, far enough away to not be noisy. Will definitely be returning.

Great Stay for Full Moon Party

This was my first time venturing to Koh Phangan for the Full Moon Party. I was very pleased with the location of Pool Trap Bungalows as it was a short walk to the beach and all the action of Haad Rin, but was far enough away that you did not have to listen to all of the noise of the party. The hotel manager was great all the way from check in to check out and is a very friendly lady. Took advantage of the laundry service at the resort as well as the onsite breakfast place which were both fantastic.

Good place to stay if you're going to full moon

I stayed here off-season (i.e. not during full moon party), and the bungalows were not occupied so i was upgraded at no charge to the bungalow, which was good because i think the price for the little room i had originally booked was too much, but it seemed fair for a bungalow. It's really walkable to the full moon party and haad run beach if that's what you're there for. Otherwise it's not the best part of Koh Phangan. Service was good and bed was comfortable, i liked the design of the bungalow and bathroom but bathroom could have been cleaner.

Relatively nice staff, disappointing accomadations

Simply put, the room was in pretty bad condition with emphasis on the bathroom. The shelf that his been installed was hanging halfway off the wall by ropes that were tied to a brick and the shower head. it was broken and was just tied to the shower head to keep it on there but couldn't be used for anything. The room was very hot during the day of which the ceiling fan seemed it was on it's last leg as it was barely moving air even at max output. For the price this place was not worth it (our friend found a few private rooms with better accommodations a littler further up the hill for 450 baht a night (roughly $12 USD). The common area is really cool but for our personal experience that didn't make up for the accommodations.

Basic, clean modern huts in great location

Went here for 5 nights to go to the fool moon party, excellent location, quiet at night but 10 min walk to the party beach. Only 2 minute walk to sunset beach. Great staff, lovely café next door, would definitely come back.

It's a fair accommodation for the price. Walking distance to the full moon party beach, but far enough to not hear the noises from it. The hot water is very limited and the fact that it has no transfer from the pier is an issue, though.

Very nice place, close to Haad Rin beach.

I stayed at Pooltrap for 5 days for the Full Moon Party. I didn't expect much after reading early reviews, but either the reviewers had way too high expectations (this is not a 5 start hotel) or the management has improved the way they look after the place. The location is great (just a 10 mins walk from Haad Rin beach, there's an ATM right across the street and a 7/11 just 30 seconds from the place). My room was cleaned daily and the linen was changed at the same frequency. The bungalow itself was nice: a double bed and a safe in the bedroom and a pretty big shower/toilet at the back. I like the "outdoor" layout of that room. There's a door in the bedroom leading to some steps which take you down to the big shower/toilets which is covered by a roof built in such a way that it lets sunshine in. Pooltrap, which comprises of 16 bungalows is really gorgeous too!

Nous avons rĂ©servĂ© en derniĂšre minute pour passer 4 jours Ă  Koh Phangan pour la nouvelle annĂ©e. Nous sommes tombĂ©e sur un petit bungalow avec des ouvertures de fenĂȘtres mais pas de vitres ... cependant il y avait la climatisation. TrĂšs petite chambre avec lit collĂ© au mur, un peu juste pour le tarif mĂȘme pour cette pĂ©riode! L’endroit est bien situĂ© car Ă  10 minutes Ă  pieds de la plage et party et 7/7 Ă  cĂŽtĂ© + cafĂ© en bas du magique jardin. Literie trĂšs dur + ressorts pour 4 nuits c’est compliquĂ© !

Very nice place to stay

A real nice room not that far from the full moon party, the sunset beach it's practically crossing the street and it's incredibly relaxing, my room had frogs in a little Garden outside the Window, very pleasant to hear them. The lady that runs the place it's a sweet, very nice. The a/c didn't work very well, but I came from a Hot place so it didn't bother me that much

Hyggelige bungalows

Vi boede der i fem nÊtter og var tilfredse med vores ophold. Beliggenheden var god, der lÄ en hyggelig cafe ved indgangen til pooltrap, hvilket varmt kan anbefales at prÞve! Derudover lÄ der en 7/11 ca 50 meter nede af gaden og gÄ afstand til stranden (haad rin), hvor full Moon party holdes. Bungalowsne bestÄr af det primÊre som en seng og et badevÊrelse (hvilket var ret stort), der er ikke en masse plads men alt i alt var det et udemÊrket ophold.

Helt okej med tanke pÄ pris och att det faktiskt va en bungalow! Ac fungerade utmÀrkt, bra service o bra engelska. Det enda jag kan klaga pÄ egentligen va sÀngarna som va stenhÄrda. Men annars okej gÄngavstÄnd (10 min till strand och centrum) och tyst pÄ kvÀllarna/natten.
