The whole process was smooth from start to finish! They even got us back in within 15 minutes when we locked ourselves out Everything we needed was there and the view from the lanai was spectacular! We’ll definitely be back.

Location was great. Place is nice. Well stocked in the kitchen & beach towels/chairs and umbrella's. There were a few quirky things ie (a lamp that did not work) but we found another lamp in the closet so all was good). Spacious place. Beautiful pool (we were told they have one of the few heated pools on the island). The athletic Club is definitely a plus too. We enjoyed the amenities there and the Restraunt offered a good happy hour.

I understand things happen in life, so I only give a bad review if a host is unreasonable and does not try to right a wrong. When we arrived at a Poipu Sands condo in Kauai earlier this month managed by Poipu365, we were (un)welcomed with a very dirty space. Details would really gross people out, so I will spare those, but the true issue lies in the way Vicki, the owner of this company, handled the situation. She tried justifying every unclean area and wanted us to "put a blanket" over blood stained bedsheets for the night. Her listing also stated there was a pullout bed, when in reality it was an air mattress. Vicki lied about not being the manager and about a store not being open anymore that night to get new, clean sheets for her guests. She said "don't be unreasonable." She eventually dropped off new sheets, but not without our persistence and me actually having to ask would you want to sleep in someone else's blood stained sheets? Now, almost 2 weeks later, I called her to see why she hadn't responded to VRBO Cares (VRBO said she had not) and she continued to skirt around the issue and not take accountability. I am a business owner myself and would never consider treating my customers this way. She completely disregarded my legitimate concerns. I'm sure others have had wonderful stays with Poipu365, as one's true character only shows in times of adversity.

Surprised about 3rd floor with heavy luggage.Ck in at 4 is hottest part of day and no A/C running or breeze flowing through after hauling heavy luggage up was a bit much.Clean enough, however could dust fans, etc.Ice maker needs attention.This is just suggestions, however we all loved our stay, beautiful view from terrace and would return knowing what to expect.

Perfect condo for our needs. We had a conference at the Grand Hyatt and it was just a short walk there. Condo is very spacious with good privacy in the bedrooms and each with its own bathroom. Parking was always available right in front. The use of the Poipu Beach Athletic Club is a great bonus as well.

Great size condo for a family that has ocean views. Can walk to multiple beaches from the unit. Property has a big pool and BBQ pits as well. Unit had everything we needed to cook and prepare meals. Would recommend.

Beautiful condo with a sea view! We used the patio all day everyday, its was our favorite spot to spend our time. The condo is located conveniently to all the attractions. We highly recommend this to all families looking for a relaxing getaway.

Perfect Location in Poipu - Great Views - Needs Some Work

The views from this unit were amazing! You could hear the ocean all night and the trade winds blew straight through the unit! Walking distance to Shipwreck beach was amazing and we loved watching the surfers while there. The pools in the resort that you could walk to were great. The one right outside the balcony is huge and relaxing. It was never crowded when we were there. The couch and master bed were comfortable, but the 2nd bedroom mattress was hard as a rock. Luckily we found an air mattress in the closet that was more comfy. The bathrooms were nice, hot water, good water pressure. The "air conditioning' wasn't great. With it being on the 3rd (top) floor, the unit was often rather warm in the afternoons, and the a/c couldn't keep up, so we mostly kept the screen doors and windows open so the winds would blow through.The kitchen had everything you need except for a rice cooker. We didn't wanna cook too much and add to the heat in the unit. The dishwasher smelled disgusting, as well as the "clean" dishes we found in the cabinets. Specifically the glasses/mugs. The dishwasher needs a good cleaning. We hand washed everything before we used it. The carpet is ready for an upgrade and matted down. The porch furniture could also use an upgrade and the beach toy closet needs a cleaning too. The beach chairs and most of the items in there need to be replaced!This was our last stop before heading home, and we were exhausted and made the best of staying in this unit.

Amazing vacation

This was an incredible property. The location was perfect for us to explore the volcano as well as south Kona beaches. Peaceful and quiet with a beautiful view. And it was probably the cleanest property I have ever stayed in.

Great stay overall

Great stay overall, view and property were beautiful and very close to shipwrecks beach. A couple of minor things to note, it’s a third floor unit with stair access so plan accordingly and AC is not central so second room gets a bit warm.Poipu Sands was a great homebase for our island adventure and would stay again!

Good place to stay

We really like the place. It was clean, beds were really nice, bathrooms were clean. Decor and carpet is a bit dated. Kitchen had what we needed to cook meals. Air conditioner worked perfectly. The view was amazing. Patio screen door was difficult to open and close. We would recommend this place in a heartbeat!

Lovely trip

We had a great time staying on Kauai this year. The condo was clean and well appointed. To address some other reviews - there was no construction noise and there were plenty of bath and kitchen towels (though just 4 beach towels). The kitchen also had a some spices and condiments (I assume left by other people, but it was nice to see they didn’t just dump them in the trash). The beds were comfortable. The pool was great. It’s a 5-10 minute walk to the beach. We went to a conference at the Hyatt next door, and it was pleasant and easy to walk each morning.

Very nice condo and well stocked with all things needed. The view was definitely worth going up and down 32 stairs. Wouldn’t have wanted any other condo in the place. I will surely be returning to this happy place.

Construction going on lots of noise. Unit 2 where we stayed had fork lifts and big rigs off loading. Parked in front of our unit. Roof being replaced next door. Will never use again. So dissatisfied.Safety concerns.

Discription said there was sleeper sofa. No sleeper sofa. There’s only 2 washcloths in the bathroom. Kitchen did not have a single kitchen cloth to wipe counters down. Vacuum sweeper did not work. Didn’t pick up anything. Spitting stuff out from it. Chairs on patio need replaced. Rusted terrible.

Great location

Overall the condo was great. The location is perfect. The listing said pullout couch. Which I contacted the host after we arrived . They stated pullout couch after I said there was not. To find there is an air mattress. We lost power one day. To find it was a main breaker. When we realized it was only our until after going out for the day. The lady in the office was incredibly nice and was there very quickly. I also thought I had locked us out one time and called the office. Again, the office lady/host was incredibly nice and patient when we realized on of our kids had a spare key on their bag we were taking with us. The AC units are OK. The main bedroom works well it’s a small space for it. The second one in the living space barely cools that space and not the 2nd bedroom. We only used them at night while sleeping. Overall, it is a nice place to stay. Location is perfect. They were incredibly helpful.
