Sansei Hale, Overlooks Waikomo Stream, Ocean view

Sansei Hale (Third Generation House) is a luxury Hawaiiana vacation home. It overlooks the beautiful and private Waikomo Stream as it meets the ocean in secluded Turtle Cove, Poipu. Sansei Hale has three stream- and ocean-view bedrooms, and three bathrooms in a stunning, private setting. Turtle Cove is so named because throughout the year, turtles play in the cove and gather here to sleep on the rocks in the evenings.

The large downstairs area has easy ground-level access which encompasses the living room, kitchen, dining area, one master bedroom and bathroom, and opens to a spacious covered lanai with ocean and river views.

Barbecue on the lanai, watch the stream roll into the Pacific and enjoy the starry nights while falling asleep to the wonderful sounds of the stream and ocean.

The second floor has an ocean-viewing deck, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The cathedral-ceiling bonus room also has a wet bar with mini refrigerator and microwave.

The fully equipped kitchen features granite counter tops, with a center island and bar stools facing the water. The dining area, which seats six, is open to a living room featuring an entertainment center with sound system, DVD/VCR and 42" flat screen TV.

High ceilings, tile floors, island style furnishings and accents complement the setting. This delightful, spacious home can accommodate six people.

World-famous Poipu Beach Park, Spouting Horn and the National Tropical Botanical Gardens are all about a mile from the house. Baby Beach is a short walk away. Koloa Landing, an excellent snorkeling and shore scuba diving spot, is just off shore of the river mouth which is adjacent to the house.

Tennis, golf (including Poipu Bay Resort Course, former home of PGA Grand Slam), and excellent surfing are within minutes, yet the setting is very private. Fine dining abounds, ranging from elegant to casual, garden settings to oceanfront.

Comfortable amenities and all as described. Scenic setting with stream behind the home. Walking distance to a kid friendly beach, coffee shop, thai food truck and small grocery store.

Absolutely amazing!

This house is amazing! Perfect location on the island. We loved being on the stream that lead into Turlte Bay. We got to enjoy the sound of water constantly. Throughly enjoyed the beach chairs and umbrella that was left in the garage. The ac units in every room was a God send when we got home from our day!! The house cooled down super quick. We had an issue with the garbage disposal the first day and it was taken care of the same day with PLEASENT help!! We'd recommend stopping by the Walmart near the airport on your way to the house to stock up on food as it's cheaper their then the markets near by. We had everything we needed for our family of 5 (2 adults, 19 year old, 14 year old and 9 year old). Washer and Dryer in the garage with detergent and dryer sheets provided. Only (small) negative is that the furniture is out of date. But still great. Thank you for our wonderful stay!!!

Our family of 6 had a terrific week-long stay in the roomy and well kept house located ~2 blocks from the ocean. The Poipu area is convenient to lots of restaurants & beaches. Beach gear in the garage was a benefit not included in the listing.

Location location location!

This location was a breeze to everything we where interested in doing. Baby Beach was perfect for us with a 3 year old. The snorkeling was great and being able to walk to am coffee and pm cocktail/ice cream really couldn’t be beat. Hawaiian sunsets are like none other and we where able to see several. Loved our time here!

A wonderful 10 year anniversary trip

This was a perfect vacation for my husband and I. We loved the easy walk to the non-crowded Baby Beach, the possibility of walking to the nearby upscale shopping and restaurants (including Ruth Chris) and the serenity of the house. It seemed very private despite its location. Nice and quiet. It was well-stocked and we didn’t end up having to buy any soaps, detergents or paper products during our stay. There was actually a winter storm while we were there but we still had the best time. The house pictures looked a little outdated to me but in person it was lovely and tropical! We loved the porch. We saw whales almost everyday. Recommend you download the app “all trails” for hikes. Very nice. Plan to come back with our 4 kids in the future.

Exceptional beauty and comfort

Four of us stayed at Sansei Hale and loved it, especially the sound and beauty of the creek (and the birds that inhabited it). It's close to everything, including two snorkeling spots. The house is attractive, spacious, well-designed and well-appointed. We hope to return soon!

Great Vacation House

The house was as beautiful inside and out as the pictures show. There were six of us -- three adult couples. The layout was perfect -- my wife and I took the downstairs bedroom. There are two more bedrooms and baths upstairs and an upstairs TV room as well, so if we old fogies downstairs turned in early, everyone else still had a place to be. The house was very comfortable and well equipped -- there was nothing we needed that wasn't there in the way of kitchen equipment or linens or the like. The garage held a bunch of beach chairs, three sets of snorkeling gear (snorkeling at nearby Poipu beach is really good) and the washer and dryer (took us a while to look for it there). We mostly ate in, but there are good restaurants (as well as nice shops) very close by. The people at Kauai Vacation Rentals were terrific. They answered all of our questions and even saw to it that the bed linens were washed in fragrance-free detergent as my wife requested. We picked up the welcome packet when we picked up our rental car. At our request, they provided two packets -- one for us and one for our son, who rented a car from a different company. They also provided a concierge, who helped us find activities -- helicopter tour, snorkeling locations, etc. There wasn't anything we needed that they couldn't take care of. The only surprise was how close the neighboring houses were. But truthfully, we rarely saw and never heard another soul. We never felt any lack of privacy. If I were to return to Kauai, I'd definitely want to stay in that house again and if it happened not to be available, I'd stay any in other suitable house handled by Kauai Vacation Rentals.

Peaceful Respite Near Everything on South Kauai

We had a wonderful family reunion at this beautiful home in the Poipu area on Kauai. The house was larger than we thought and had a bath for each of the bedrooms. The constant sound from the river was soothing. We had a pair of Red Crested Cardinals on the porch every morning. Although the house was close to everything, the lush greenery made it very private.
