Wonderful stay in Poipu
My husband and I had a delightful stay at Jim's condo in Poipu. The unit was even better than the pictures! The view of shipwreck beach is amazing and we loved waking up to watch the sunrise every morning, and enjoying our evening meals on the lanai. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we could need, including high quality cookware. The bed was very comfortable. We actually enjoyed the lack of AC as the trade winds were more than adequate to make the unit comfortable and we were able to enjoy time outside listening to the ocean rather than the neighbor's AC unit. The unit had everything we could need for enjoying the beach including towels, chairs and a little cooler. Thank you Jim for hosting us at your incredible Hawaiian home!

We came to enjoy a paradise vacation to celebrate our 40th anniversary. This condo looks exactly like the pictures! Don't hesitate to stay here. Beautiful condo with beautiful views of the ocean and Shipwreck Beach from the lanai. A 10 minute walk to Poipu Beach for sea turtles and monk seals and walkable to a couple of restaurants. Easy check in/out process. While not related to this condo, a MUST DO while on the island is a doors off helicopter tour of the island. Worth every penny!

Our Stay Exceeded our Expectations
First of all, the property was larger than I had expected and would be very comfortable for 4 people. The place was fresh and spotless. The view out the front was postcard perfect. The common facilities, (Pool and Gas Grills) were also top notch, and were carefully cleaned by the Condominium staff everyday. The nicest surprise was how complete the kitchen and cooking equipment was. I have been to "high end" places many times where there were just 4 of each kind of dish, glass, cup and eating utensil. This place was awesome in that it had about two complete sets of everything. It was also nice that there were starter sets of dishwasher and laundry detergents there. we eventually ran out and added more to the cause for the next person. There is also great access to trails that run down the beach. A nice Tennis Court that was almost always available too. I would seek this specific place out if I come to the the south side of Kauai again.

We had a great time staying at this beautiful condo. Perfect location, with a quick walk down to Shipwreck Beach. BBQ’s on site, which was great with the ocean views. Condo was super clean. Had everything you would need, to include washer and dryer. Host was even nice enough to leave a couple laundry pods. Jim was great to work with. We love Poipu Sands, and this is one of the best condos we’ve stayed in.

Amazing property, would come here again
This property was awesome! It had a great view of Shipwreck beach, which is only a 5 minute walk away. It’s very spacious and clean. They provide chairs, a cooler and beach toys. A washer and dryer is located right inside the room which was very useful. The pool is a short walk from the room and very nice to relax by.

Lovely Poipu Sands Retreat
Kauai is one of my husband and my favorite islands in Hawaii to visit, and Poipu Sands is our "go-to" place to stay. This was the first time staying at this condo and I must say it was truly a delight. The location of this unit at Poipu Sands offers one of the best views of beautiful Shipwreck Beach from your lanai, in a well-manicured garden setting. The condo is very clean and well maintained throughout. Though we enjoy dining out at the many wonderful restaurants in the area, you will find an updated and well-equipped kitchen to create your own in-house meals. Jim is a super guy to deal with and is quick to respond to any questions or needs you may have. We look forward to a return visit!

Very nice stay
The condo has everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. Especially appreciate the washer/dryer since the trade winds didn’t cooperate with us and it was very humid the week we stayed. The portable fans weren’t working but Jim was kind enough to have us buy one that he will reimburse us for. The only drawback for me (but not my husband) is that there is some street noise (fortunately not too late at night or too early in the morning) and the sidewalk is right outside the bedroom windows which stay open all the time. Made me uncomfortable at first but I got used to it. Great location for activities around the island. The walk to Shipwreck beach is about 10-15 min but it’s not a great beach for swimming . Poipu beach is a short drive away

I will try to rent this condo when we return next year. We have been celebrating the holidays here since 2012. This was the nicest condo we have stayed in. The others were nice. But this was my favorite.

The Perfect Location
The property was very clean and the location was incredible!!! The morning coffee view will not dissapoint! *2 Minute Drive to Poipu Beach (great for kids and sea turtle watching) *3 Minute drive to the shopping village which has restaruants, coffee and shopping *10 Minute walk to Shipwreck Beach & the Hyatt Hotel *Quick Drive to Koloa Town where they have great food trucks and a must try fish market The bedding for the pull out couch could use an update. Holes and some stains, but becuase its a 1 bedroom im sure it rarely gets used. Was perfect for our toddler. They also only supply 2 beach towels so more should be available since it is marketed as a condo that sleeps 4. (we had to go purchase more once we arrived) I highly reccomend this condo when visiting Kauai. You wont be dissapointed.

This condo was beautiful and in a great location. It was very clean and in good condition. If there was a drawback it was that there was no air conditioning. The humidity was tough but ceiling fans helped us sleep okay.

The place was great. The location was great. You could see the beach from our patio, a little ways off but not so far that you couldn’t walk it in just a couple of minutes. The condo was very clean very well stocked with cooking, eating, And leftover containers. The beach was really pretty had a great 6 mile walk along the beach 3 miles out and 3 miles back. The host, Jim, was very responsive. Every time I emailed him which was about three times, he responded within hours or the very next day if I happen to email him late in the day. I would highly recommend the place!

This is a large unit with a beautiful view of the beach from the patio doors. The breeze blowing up from the ocean cooled the entire unit. It was an amazing place to stay.

Very pleasant stay
We've stayed in rental places many times throughout the years and this is one of the best experience. The property is very clean and instructions are very clear. I really like the washer and dryer inside the condo and really appreciated that even the detergent was provided. That was not expected. With both sides window open, it is very comfortable and the lovely breezee was my favorite part. Even in July AC was not necessary. The one and half bathroom was also very good ~ made our three-people stay very pleasant.
