Toyoko hotels are always great.

Spacious, clean, convenient and they give you free breakfast. This one gave us mainly Onigiris. If it's not your thing, you might want to skip breakfast... Parking is Y500 a night which is pretty cheap.

The room was very clean and neat. The only setback was that there was not one single hook to hang clothes in the room. The free breakfast may, however, well make up for the above setback because, though simple, the rice balls provided were of a great variety and tasty. The room type is quite comfortable for a solo traveler, and the front desk staff can communicate in simple English, with no issues in terms of service. The breakfast period can get a bit crowded, so it's recommended to go downstairs early for dining or to take your meal back to your room.

The size of the room and bathroom surprised me. It was a really good size for two people but I went solo. Just a short walk from Nishitetsu-Kurume station. Lots of eatery, shopping, and convenience nearby. Service is great and they have free breakfast. Highly recommended.

Clean, relatively comfortable with free breakfast

Clean hotel. Parking is only 500 yen (~$3.75), and is on-site, but is an automated garage, so you need to take everything you might need with you as it is a hassle to get anything out of your car until the next morning. Breakfast looked good, but the menu only showed salad and rice (traditional Japanese), so we declined but saw juice and pastries as we were leaving, so would have taken advantage of the free breakfast had we known. Bathroom is small, and washcloths are not provided. The bed was a queen size, but very firm. The room was very comfortable and the temperature was easy to adjust.
