Property was great! Rooms were substantially larger than average for Japan. Staff was professional and very kind. Amenities were also very nice. Area was very clean and walkable with great food and shopping nearby.

Staff were helpful and friendly. Amenities were great and convenient. Location wise I found a little bit inconvenient. If you are in Kyoto to sightsee (going to Arashiyama, Fushimi Inari, etc.), there may be better locations to reside in but if you are looking to mostly shop, this is a great location.

Great little hotel in a great area. One little complaint is the bed: it’s pretty firm, which is normal for Japan, but along with small, flat pillows it’s a bit uncomfortable even in Japan standards. Rooms are a bit larger than normal though.

The Forza Chain Always Meets Expectations

I have stayed at several Hotel Forzas across Japan and it always meets my expectations and delivers the same features & services. However, I have 2 gripes about this Hotel Forza property. Hotel lobby is on B1F and you always have to take the escalator down 1 floor from Ground to take one of two elevators to your room. There is a third elevator but that only takes you to Ground Floor. The complimentary 3-in-1 lotion only has grapefruit fragance and is not effective. Minor grievances, great hotel chain.

This hotel is amazing! Not only clean and quiet and very modern but perfectly positioned close to all of the metro / train stations and hundreds of dinings options. The main road is great and bustling but also take the time to drop back one or two streets and explore the more traditional stores and eateries, it’s like a different city! I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kyoto!

Staff was very helpful after a mixup in room size. Be careful when booking children, the assumption is they will sleep in the same double bed as parent. But once this came up the staff was very helpful in resolving. Very clean and in a nice area of town convenient to nightlife and dining.

We had a lovely stay at this conveniently located hotel. Situated just a short walk from Teramachi Market and a quick 5-minute walk from the train station, it made exploring the area a breeze. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, with Matsuda at reception going above and beyond to assist us promptly. As a special touch, the hotel offered a complimentary glass of sake each day, which was a delightful addition to our stay.
