Can we give this hotel more than 5 stars? From check in to check out, this experience was incredible. The hotel staff was more than accommodating and hospitable and the room was unique and beautiful. The hotel was very close to the train station and we always felt happy returning to this hotel. Even when we didn't have our room cleaned, the staff left a fresh set of towels and a bath mat by our door. The cleanliness and attention to detail was unparalleled. Thank you Hotel Kanra!

Great place, service - not so much

Beautiful place. Spacious, clean, well maintained, good location. The only issue we had was when we checked out we asked for a cab to the train station. They said they would get us a cab but we had to stay in the lobby. We waited for 10 minutes before they said they couldn't get us a cab and left us with heavy bags to walk over a mile in the snow. We were shocked and disappointed - particularly since we stayed in their most expensive room for 4 nights. We barely made it to the station. If we were an older couple, we would not have made it. The staff made very little effort to help us. I thought the way we were treated at check-out was very unprofessional.

Absolutely loved this hotel, favorite stay of the trip without a doubt. Staff were very welcoming from the beginning and it was a nice mix of modern and traditional. I think it's a perfect stay for large groups, considering how spacious the rooms are which is rare in Japan. A bit pricey but worth it and hope to come back someday soon.

My stay at this beautiful hotel was absolutely delightful! The bathroom was stunning, complete with a gorgeous bathtub that made for a luxurious experience. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The breakfast was delicious, with plenty of options to start the day off right. I highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable stay!

Loved every moment!

we absolutely loved our stay. The hotel room was gorgeous. It was so warm and the staff was so friendly. They literally walked us up to our room with our bags and open the door for us to escort us into our space. Everything was well organized and clean, and the service was just phenomenal. We also loved that there was free coffee and wine all day every day downstairs in the lobby, which was nice and then we enjoyed a complementary all you can eat buffet breakfast, which was so tasty and had a mix of Japanese and western items. I can't thank the team enough for the great stay and the great hospitality.
