Beautiful, luxurious hotel in the heart of Kyoto

The hotel is conveniently located next to Kyoto station, and a quick walk over to the Higashi-Hongan ji temple and Shoshei Gardens. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodated our every need. We had dinner at the restaurant which was the best meal of our entire trip! Would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat.

This hotel was wonderful. Welcoming, helpful staff. Excellent breakfast options, a cozy lounge with complimentary beverages, and our room was incredibly comfortable. I miss the large wooden bathtub already! There were many excellent restaurants nearby as well as attractions to see.

Beautiful hotel, it has everything you could possibly need or want out of a stay in Kyoto. Traditional, modern, clean, beautiful. We loved it. They do such a good job of explaining everything, and the room has books guiding you around the area and recommending things to do. Will definitely be back!!

This was one of my favorite hotel experiences. The hotel and room were beautiful and clean. We had an excellent view of Kyoto Tower from our room, THE best shower pressure and temperature of any hotel, and we slept like babies. We really enjoyed the Lounge. My husband would go downstairs early for coffee and we’d bring dessert there in the evening after exploring all day before going up to our room. We even made a friend there one morning :-). The staff in the hotel including Kitchen Kanra were so attentive and friendly. Will be recommending to friends planning to visit Kyoto and will definitely be back!

Such a great hotel designed in traditional Japanese style. The room is very large by any standard. We love the decor, free drinks, and the staff was so polite. They let us borrow some umbrellas for the whole day since it was raining.
