The location is very good. Within walking distance to different subway or JR train lines and busses. Very close to downtown. Hotel has natural hot spring and spa facility. After using the hot spring, hotel guests can relax in the VIP room on the top floor to enjoy the night view nearby. Tea, coffee and soft drinks are provided free of charge.

Ok, so this is a very nice hotel, perhaps nicer than I'm used to. The staff was attentive and helpful, and the room was quite nice. I'm knocking a star off due to despite being a paying guest, I was barred from the onsen for having a tattoo. I get that this is Japan and a lot of onsens dont allow it, but I guess I figured it would be different since you're paying to stay there. Just something for future travelers to consider if you were hoping to take advantage of the spa/onsen services for some unwind time.

Clean room. A modern hotel, excellently located. Good restaurant facilities provided. It would be helpful to tourists if the hotel provided tourism brochures and information. Only a couple of fairly useless brochures were provided.

It is in the newer section of Kyoto so there are plenty of shopping opportunities. It takes a little twisting around in different trains, but it is not that far from the main Kyoto station. They’re also a lot of food available on the side streets. It feels a lot more open than the older section of Kyoto so we enjoyed that spacious feeling- although modern architecture isn’t our thing. it’s a big hotel, lots of tourists but really well run. The staff was super kind and helped us print out our ballots and mail them very much appreciated.

Lovely hotel and staff. We really appreciated the hot springs in hotel daily after lots of walking. Will recommend this to anyone going to Kyoto however only downside was expensive to eat in the hotel.
