Room excellent, bed was a little firmer than we’re used to but was fine. Extra pillows would be a plus. Windows do not detract from outside noise and the hotel is on a Main Street so that’s something to consider. We stayed in the Tavinos Asakusa which is smaller but quieter and the staff were friendlier…which is why I have knocked off one star

Staff was amazing, I arrived super tired, they showed me how to store my luggage and baggage since I arrived early and it was very cool the way they have it designed. Plus at night they play anime on the tv in the lounge room. Definitely recommend this place

Cute hotel with nice, helpful staff. The space is small but good for a short stay. The location is good and within walking distance to public transport in good weather conditions. (About 15 minutes walk to the train station and a 2 minute walk to a bus station nearby)

Centrally located very convenient. Nice rooms and staff were friendly. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was a decent size. Not big, but enough space to not feel cramped. The hotel offers a nice hangout spot with free coffee and tea. Very accommodating and we appreciated it. The hotel has a washer/dryer. Not sure what it is about Japan, but the dryer does not dry your clothes completely, especially if you wash jeans. We had to hang them in our room to dry for a couple of days. It's the same for almost all hotels in Japan.

Awesome hotel, location is great. Welcoming staffs, complimentary breads for breakfast, hot wine during Christmas. Amenities are limited but not a big deal. Room is clean and has separated toilet from shower, spacious with a bunk bed. If the color of room isn’t black then it will be perfect.

My husband and I recently stayed at Hotel Tavinos Kyoto, and while there were some positives, our experience was mixed overall. The staff were genuinely kind and helpful, and the room size was decent for Kyoto standards. We appreciated the smart layout ,especially the space to store luggage under the bed, which made the room feel more functional. However, the bedding situation was a complete disappointment. The pillows, mattress, and overall bed setup were extremely uncomfortable, and it made it difficult for both of us to get a proper night’s rest. For a hotel that otherwise gets the basics right, the bedding quality really took away from our stay. With more comfortable beds, this could easily be a great and reliable place to stay — but until that’s improved, we wouldn’t choose to return.
