Green Sunrise Chalet ,Nature Lovers with Volcano View .
The chalet is located around 7 minutes away driving from La Fortuna Town in the country side. Surrounded by greenery, with a view to the Arenal Volcano from the front patio and the woods from the rear balcony accompanied by the beautiful sounds of the wild animals and the whisper of fresh air. the Chalet it has a terrace a space where you can practice Yoga and Meditation or just to have a drink while enjoying the fresh air and the beautiful nature of the surrounding. The house rooms are clear offering you the pleasure to see all around just to feel the magic of nature. I hope you love the chalet the same way as I do ;)
Beautiful views and feel like youâre in the treesKitchen was wonderful to cook inA lovely deck overlooking the jungleBe prepared to experience close encounters with jungle creatures
Johnny and Rambo, the dog made sure that we got to the chalet sound and safe. The view of the volcano was spectacular! The place is very romantic and cozy. The place is very clean. We will definitely come back. Thank youcome back.
This condo is just as advertised. It is in a beautiful spot with a view of Arenal volcano from the bedroom and a forest view from other rooms. There are windows everywhere but no other houses close enough that they could see into the unit. The air conditioner works well. It is not a newly renovated condo but was clean and comfortable. We didn't find it on the first try but the host was very responsive and helpful and got us there quickly.
The unit wasnât sealed up properly. Strong smell of mold throughout, especially on the bedsheets. Just looking around, you could see directly outside from several holes that werenât sealed. As night fell, bugs started coming in, and they didnât stop. As well as a lizard. Between the noise generate from the lizard in the kitchen, and the bugs in the next room, i couldnât sleep at all this night.
We booked two nights but only decided to stay one night. The property has a lot of potential but was not well cleaned (blood on the wall in the bathroom, ants all over the kitchen area with no food present). It's quite secluded and out of the way, so lots of jungle smarts required. Lots of unsealed locations in the cabin that allow for bugs to enter, including a poison dart frog (good thing we knew not to touch). The "back" door didn't properly lock, and had huge gaps around it.
The bed needs replacing, the springs stick into you. The check-in process was okay, but you would want to know some Spanish. In a location with other homes, quite in the middle of it all. No view of the volcano.
Disappointed overall as we were initially quite excited to stay here.
We felt mislead. We verbally received the Masterlock key code (in Spanish) and could not remember it. It was not written down anywhere. The property immediately smelled musty when we walked in, and was absolutely infested with bugs, so as soon as we checked in we had to leave. My friend and I felt uncomfortable sleeping there and booked a hotel elsewhere. We were disgusted walking around.
There were dead bugs on the bedroom curtain, stains on the bed comforter and sheets, and small bugs flying around in the bedroom. There were lizards inside and outside of the bedroom window. The bathroom floors were dirty (we had to put shoes on to even walk around), and there were massive bugs inside the house. We tried to kill some, but more kept appearing and we left. Specifically, there were at least 3 spiders the size of my hand (among many smaller ones), one which crawled on my water bottle as soon as I put it down. There was also a dead cicada on the kitchen counter and one in the frying pan. We expected bugs since it's Costa Rica, but not to this extent and especially not somewhere like the kitchen which should be clean. The downstairs door leading to the outside did not appear to be all the way sealed, which could be a reason there were so many. We felt mislead by the good reviews and absolutely could not stay here.
We enjoyed our stay. It looked exactly as pictured online. Cold ac and WiFi worked. The only thing we didn't realize was there was no stove but other then that it was great.
Had a great time in La Fortuna the cabin was good for us for the short time we were here. Clean and great communication with the owner. Bugs do come in but we are in the jungle so we expected it.
Weâre from Chicago and love to travel and explore new places. This place was rustic but clean and had everything we needed to function. Loved the outdoor patio. Rocking chairs. All the sounds of the jungle! Roosters crowing non stop!! I didnât mind. All the noises became like white noise. Close enough to La Fortuna, Arenal Volcano, La Fortuna Waterfall, and the River to chill out at!! The bed could use a new mattress but with all our activities we had no problems sleeping. Air conditioner in the bedroom was awesome too! We had a backyard view of Arenal Volcano too. Iâd come back!!
First the host Yesania is great! She was very responsive to all our questions. The house is cozy and welcoming! Great location to activities in La Fortuna. The only downside was during our stay it rained non-stop for 24+ hours and not just a light rain it was a hard steady rain which made sleeping hard as it was very noisy on the metal roof. So just beware of that Also we only had a front wheel drive vehicle which was a little scary getting back to the house on the dirt road. But Yesania made sure to add extra rock in the slippery places for us. We were hoping to see the volcano from the house but the weather did not cooperate for us.
My husband and I have not been away just the two of us in over 10 years. We were very excited to explore the rainforest of La Fortuna for 10 days. When we were looking into accommodations, we were considering luxurious hotels, hostels, and vacation rental by owners. They are so glad they chose green sunrise. It was exactly what we needed. A private, secluded cabin, nestled in the jungle that was close enough to the city that we could easily walk into town when we wanted to walk back home after a long day. Some days we took Ubers into town or two different attractions and other days. We just did a lot of walking. I enjoyed sitting on the deck by myself in the morning to meditate and taking the sides and sounds of all of the plant life and nature around me. The air conditioning unit was definitely a bonus and it was nice to have all the amenities of a regular kitchen so we could cook our own food. The bed was comfortable enough but could certainly use a bit of an upgrade. It was nice to be in a king size bed as we are used to that at home. I understand why the property is called green sunrise because it has florist ceiling windows in every room, and from the moment you open your eyes to the moment, you close your eyes, you are treated by the lush, green surroundings outside of the cabin.
Property was exactly as advertised. Just what I was looking for. Something peaceful and quiet. Right on the edge of the rainforest. Actually caught a view of the top of the volcano on my second day there. You can see it easily from the backyard if the weather is good. Lizeth, the property manager/owner was an absolute pleasure to deal with. She is very responsive to any questions or issues. She was also kind enough to let me check in at 10 AM the first day of my stay. This was super helpful and important as I was going to her property from another house nearby. Super nice deck out side to relax on. Good refrigerator with a small freezer compartment. Plenty of pots, pans, plates, bowls, cups, utensils for eating, and cooking. Much to my surprise and joy, the bedroom had air-conditioning. Thatâs a fabulous feature given that it can get quite humid in this part of Costa Rica.
This home is one of the most tranquil places on Earth! Great bird watching & jungle sounds galore! Natasha & her family were so kind and helpful and our time exploring with them will never be forgotten. â€ïž We absolutely hope to come back and be in this paradise again!
Great jungle cabin with accommodating hosts. We ran into an issue and they were able to resolve immediately. They went above and beyond. Cabin is close to everything, but private and isolated.
Nature Loverâs is accurate! The look and sounds of nature is all around you - and itâs actually quite lovely. We were prepared to experience some bugs and we did - but nothing that we were concerned about. I admit the building was a bit more rustic than I expected, but the photos and description was exactly as it was! I loved all of the windows - especially in the bedroom area as they kept the bugs out when we slept - as they allowed full view of the beautiful, natural surroundings outside. Communication with Natasha was amazing and she met us literally as we drove in! She was very prompt in responding to all of my messages. We had a comfortable stay here and enjoyed our time in La Fortuna!
This cabin is located on a farm with the large deck overlooking a forest to the back and amazing views of Arenal Volcano out your front door. It is a cozy cabin perfect for a couple, with everything you need for a comfortable rustic experience. The host contact was Natasha and she was wonderful. Natasha and her daughter Emma even took us on a guided hike through the forest.
