Solo stay for UCSD Visit

Lovely stay. There was construction going on, but no effect to how pleasant my stay was. The front desk staff was accommodating, made recommendations for great coffee (Bird Rock) nearby. Beautiful pool area, adequate gym. Easy to get rideshare and easy to/from airport. Right next to UCSD School of Medicine. Beds were comfortable and bathroom well stocked. Refrigerator available.

Lobby under construction when we visited. Check in was smooth and efficient. Love the convenient location: guests can walk through a gate from the property parking lot to shopping malls next door. Public transit trolley stop is next to the shopping mall across the street from the shopping area next to the hotel. Room decor is a little tired, but room is well equipped with seating, microwave and a small refrigerator. Our room was easy to walk to pool and hot tub, which were much appreciated after long days walking around UCSD campus. Room service also available, although with all of the nearby dining options and Whole Foods next door, there is little need.

We have stayed here 5 consecutive times but this will be the last. The entire floor of our building appeared to be occupied by teenagers attending a prom and there is no quiet time. Doors slamming and running down the halls until after 3 am. I asked for extra towels and they never arrived.

My second stay at Sheraton La Jolla. Great location! Easy to I-5. Near Whole Foods, Nordstrom Rack, etc. Hospitality staff (bar/restaurant) were great. Housekeeping very friendly.
