Just another cheaply renovated “trendy” hotel

While the common areas look great in photos, the rooms are very poorly and cheaply renovated - vinyl flooring is peeling up at the corners, looks like it was the painters first day on the job, the bathroom is crammed despite the room being large. There’s nothing about the rooms that justify the “luxury” tag on this hotel. Breakfast was offered for 20 euros which is a lot considering a croissant and cappuccino at the coffee shop down the street costs 2.30 euros.

The Poet was excellent. The room was spacious. The bed was comfortable. The front team were friendly and gave some great restaurant recommendations. Loved the toiletries too. Have brought the shower gel! Great location. Would highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our visit at The Poet Hotel! The room was modern and spacious. The staff was so helpful. We had to leave early in the morning and they packed us a nice breakfast to go. The front desk women really went way out of their way to make sure we had a great stay. Dinner suggestions and great directions. We will be back!

Property is very nice, clean, and convenient. However, we were disappointed with alleged VIP room upgrade. An upgraded room was available but only offered to us if we paid for upgrade. Not what we bargained for or what was promised by Expedia VIP amenity. Otherwise, hotel is very good. Outstanding breakfasy crew.

Stayed here to visit cinque Terre as well as boat around the sea. The Poet is a quick walk to the train station and also close to some great restaurants and areas to walk/shop. Hotel is clean and staff were very kind. Rooms are climate controlled and wash refreshing to walk into a cool room at the end of the day. Loved the balcony from the room. Just know that breakfast isn’t included.

It was only a short ride to Cinque Terra by train, w/ out all of the overcrowding, The town "Spacia" was really quaint and good restaurants kindly excuse spelling trypos ; )

Great for Cinque Terre travel

This hotel was the perfect place to stay when going to Cinque Terre if not staying in one of the towns. It was about a 5 minute walk to the train station in a nice area with some good restaurants near by. The hotel staff was great and held onto our bags for us since we arrived prior to check in time. They even put our luggage in our room when it was ready so we wouldn’t have to take it up the stairs.
