Great location, comfortable suite with a large bedroom and king sized bed. The kitchen is well equipped and the surrounding gardens are stunning. We would definitely stay again.
Nicely furnished and equipped, funky garden arbour and attentive hosts âŠ.. but cold. The heater in sitting rooom was OK once weâd found out how it worked but bedroom and rest of suite remained stubbornly below 19c for 3 days and nights we were there.Alec & Frances
The beautiful suite was in a beautiful setting. The hosts were helpful and friendly. Nicely situated near wineries, restaurants and beach. We asked for ice and they brought a big bag right away. No charging for electric vehicle, but charging station wasnât too far away. Lovely stay overall.
The property was the lower level of a home which wasnât described in the initial ad. The steps down were many, very steep, with no railings. My husband is 81 which we indicated to the owners before we left. The pictures showed stairs but we were assuming those stairs were to the hot tub located on the property and also to a little nook on the property having a table with chairs. There was no way to get our luggage down there for a 5 night stay. The owners texted us and offered for us to walk through the home to get our luggage to the lower walk out unit. The unit seemed clean although the tub/shower in the bathroom looked a bit old. We ended up having yo find a more suitable lodging. Very disappointing.
Great, clean unit with private outdoor space and gorgeous grounds - loved the area - so many lakes, trails and beaches. Appreciated the stay very much!
We were greeted with smiles and a tour of the yard and apartment when we arrived. Anita ensured that we had everything we needed and made herself available to us if we had any further questions or concerns.
The yard was a dream with small niches to enjoy including a waterfall for ambience and a hot tub as well. The apartment was clean and the bedding smelled fresh. There was plenty of space for family meals and fun.
We would definitely consider using this space again. Thank you for making this part of our vacation so lovely Anita.
We stayed at Anita's place for 2 wonderful nights. The inside space is very stylish, yet so comfortable and fully equipped with everything one might need.
The outside area is quite magical, offering a beautiful green space with twinkling lights and lots of privacy. The hot tub was much appreciated and kept sparklingly clean by our hosts.
Anita and her husband are very kind and made sure we had everything we needed....even providing a Christmas tree for the space, as we stayed during the holidays!
I highly recommend this spot and look forward to staying again!
It was fantastic. We chose it partially based on proximity to Grey Monk and walked there for lunch. Two other wineries/restaurants are also walking distance. Thereâs a great beach area, that could probably also be walked to. There was a really really nice coffee/breakfast spot there, despite that it was vegan. The ice cream shop attached to that had fantastic fish and chips, but we liked their vegan fare too.
The rock stairs at the property could maybe be a little dicey for the elderly, but I didnât have any trouble with them, even with my recently injured knee. There were 5 or 6 great places outside to sit and enjoy (maybe with some wine). They were outstanding considering the interesting landscape. We were delighted and encouraged to use the hot tub every night.
I wonât list all the little extras provided that greatly enhanced our stay, so as not to obligate them for future guests, but know that you will be well taken care of. They are very helpful and very timely with responding to questions.
Felt at home as soon as we met the owner and walked into the place . Art paintings created by the owners were displayed throughout the rooms . It was contemporary, cozy . Had everything needed to cook or prep basic meals and snacks .The overhang on patio was delightful , as we enjoyed a Spring rain , while eating and enjoying our wine . Landscaping was so inspiring as they had created this hideaway on a steep hillside - complete with waterfall . The lake / mountain view from the patio, dining room or bedroom window was a bonus !Truly a spa -like experience and the bonus - lots of vineyards with a few kilometers.
This location was perfect for what i wanted to experience. Close to the beach, airport, wineries, hiking etc. The room itself was very clean and cozy with everything you need!! I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend this property!! Thank you Anita and family!! I will be back!
