Fairways of the Mountains offers its guests a seasonal outdoor pool, a children's pool, a lazy river, and an indoor pool. Fairways of the Mountains also features barbecue grills and a picnic area. Free self parking is available.
The property is so nice. It is dated, but comfortable, clean, and well stocked with towels and kitchen items. They even had a couple of small boxes of laundry detergent which was nice. There is a deck that overlooks the golf course to enjoy over morning coffee. The amenities were lovely - putt-putt golf, swimming, and playgrounds for the kids. We loved it! The entire staff was helpful and friendly.
We loved the place. It was very clean. The pricing was good. No it is not a fancy place. It does have everything you need for a comfortable stay. The only real downfall is the uncomfortable pull out couch. It could definitely use better padding, but my grandsons were so happy to be able to sleep up stairs.
This property was great for what we needed. The grounds, pool, parking, front desk all were great.
The unit itself could use some upgrades. Also the unit was very damp. Could use a dehumidifier.
Wanted to note that the unit was very clean and lots of amenities for a short stay.
It was a nice location, on a golf course. Had all that you could need! Close to chimney rock area where you could shop, eat, get produce at one of the local priduce stands or play mini golf! Also loved going to Chimney rock!
Condo was great, had lots of room and a pretty view. The only issue we had was not enough passes for Rumbling Bald amenities, the villa we were in only gave 4 while the others get 8. However, turned out to not be too much of an issue and we had an amazing, relaxing birthday weekend!
Fairways of the mountains is a very outdated place. I wasnât expecting much but I wish it was a little bit nicer. The price is the best part about it. The worst part of the trip was when the power went out the first night we were there. Itâs August. I wasnât expecting any reason for the power to go out. So we were left in the dark with no A/C. Another problem was that hardly anything was ever open. Had to search for food or drinks. The amenities are nice but you have to travel to the actual resort to get to them because this place isnât actually on the resort. We were only staying two nights so we survived. Thereâs no way we would have stayed a week at this place.
Pictures showed view of lake but not true, it was supposed to include amenities but we had to pay for some, indoor pool required driving to another golf course to use it and literally everything closes either at 5 pm or 8 pm. It was priced appropriately
Lake Lure was the perfect place for a getaway. We loved the golf courses, vineyards and views, the lake and boating, the trails for riding bikes, and of course the hike up Chimney Rock. The condo at Fairway of the Mountains provide wonderful views of the Apple Valley Golf Course. Staying at the Wyndham resort provides you with access to all the facilities at a discount. For golfers, Monday and Tuesdays allow you to golf at the most reasonable rates. Excellent stay and excellent accommendations.
Everything inside are very old stove furniture ect but the view on the golf course is very nice the pool very nice and the price was good for the place
