This Adirondack historic Olympic home has such a presence on Main street that many guests refer to it as the Olympic "Mansion." Our exclusive Olympic home was owned by three Olympic Gold medalists. We tribute this charming home to all of them. While vacationing in Lake placid it is all about comfort, style and LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! And, this historic home has it all. There will be NO concerns about parking as everything is in walking distance from the Olympic House.
While some other listings describe their location as a a 'short walk' to town this home is on Main Street -our sidewalk goes down the street to the main street of the Lake Placid Village. Nestled within a grove of tall Pines, Birches and Cedar trees, it has a private feeling, yet you are just steps away from the awesome renowned Olympic Village and a stones throw away from beautiful Mirror Lake. The Mansion's Bar/Lounge has a beautiful carved bar, surrounded by a 70 in flat screen TV. The ample over stuffed furniture was designed with comfort in mind so one can relax have a beer, iced tea or just snuggle up and read a book. The adjacent living room houses an authentic brick ADK fireplace ready to light for your enjoyment. The large fully appointed dinning room easily seats 10+ with place setting for 16. The modern kitchen houses brand new dishwasher, refrigerator, stove and microwave, With a breakfast area perfect for morning conversations over coffee. The kitchen has a back stairway that will take you to the second floor bedrooms and one more flight up takes you to the upstairs game room complete with a mini fridge, large flat screen TV, Foosball table and really comfy large leather sofa and love seat. On the same floor, there is a modern, clean full bathroom and more sleeping available with yet another bedroom - number 7 - with two twin pillow top beds.
Outside there is a grand front porch, a 4 burner Weber grill, an outdoor pingpong table, a volley ball net.. and a brand new 6-8 person hot tub! There is something for every one. This historic and beautiful Olympic home features 7 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, a fully equipped and modern kitchen, a living room with a working fireplace, a dining room that seats 10+, a family room with a foosball table, a downstairs game room with a pingpong table, there are 3 tv's, children's/young adult book collection, puzzles and games galore, comfortable leather sofas, reclining reading chair and views of the Olympic Village Mirror Lake and the Adirondack Mountains including Whiteface.

From the grand front porch, you and your family will have a front row seat to the village of Lake Placid, where you can watch parades, marathons, town events etc. Of course, beautiful Mirror Lake and the ADK High Peak Mountains are directly in front of you for your viewing pleasure.

The 6 bedrooms include 2 kings, 2 queens, 1 full, with 2 twin bunk beds(1 with a full bottom bunk) All of the bedding is a high thread count cotton and all beds have cozy pillow-tops, so you have luxurious and comfortable sleeping accommodations. There are deep closets, extra blankets and pillows in every bedroom. There are fans and air conditioners in every bedroom as well.

The bathrooms are all well equipped with soft plush towels and new showers. For your convenience, there are hair dryers in all of the bathrooms. The original pedestal sinks and faucets have been left for historic appeal, and an original claw foot tub with adapted shower . Brand new toilets and showers have been installed along with tiled floors.

There is a large BBQ grill on the front porch and plenty of outdoor chairs and tables to enjoy warm weather outdoor dinners. Also, there is a one car garage and a large driveway that supplies ample parking for up to 4 vehicles for use during your stay - especially nice during the winter months. During the summer we have 3 bike racks (will hold 4 bikes each) for those cycling enthusiasts.

Per property and casualty Insurance and local zoning and code recommendations - security cameras are above exit doors only. These are in plain sight and can be disabled by the guest request upon check in. There is absolutely no camera or monitoring of any kind inside this home. Please also note, this is a private home and does not offer handicapped accommodations. If you or your guest require special accommodations do not book this home, please look to stay at a hotel/motel that would have these accommodations.
