Spend sparkling summers and winters at this two-bedroom Lakeshore condo, a comfortable California retreat with a private deck, a community hot tub and pool, and an ideal location within a short stroll of Huntington Lake.

This two-level property is located in Huntington Condos, a wonderful complex that sits among the evergreens just beyond the northern shores of Huntington Lake. Spend summer days in the shared outdoor pool and hot tub, take afternoon walks a quarter-mile down the road to Rancheria Marina on the lakeshore, and hit the winter slopes at China Peak Mountain Resort only two miles south.

Freshly remodeled with new wood floors, appliances, furnishings, and granite countertops, this 1,400-square-foot condo provides a relaxing mountain escape in every season. Prepare homemade meals in the pristine full kitchen, open the sliding glass doors to let in the crisp breezes from the deck, and curl up each evening on the sofa to watch one of two flatscreen cable TVs (please note that WiFi is not available here).

Needs repair

The upstairs shower did not work. The blinds downstairs were broken. The downstairs sink had a loose screw and hardly functioned. The location was amazing and the manager lent me an extension cord which was very nice. Easy to find and check in.

clean but showers were wuite rough, broken tiles, cracked and stained grout. No WIFI although that was listed as an amenity. Pictures showed different furniture. well equipped kitch although oven door did not completely shut keeping oven light on and impeding proper heating.

A qualified Pleased

We were pleased, but disappointed in many aspects. There was no wi-fi though the in-house brochure said to reset the router (where was it?), the shower pan had tape to patch a hole, very unsanitary, and we had to buy napkins, paper towels, and aluminum foil - all should have been provided for what we paid. As is, I would not recommend this unit.

Huntington Lake condo

The property was as listed. There was a little difficulty in finding the right condo when we arrived and there was no one available to ask for help but eventually we did find it. The directions that were stated did not match what we encountered on the road signs. The biggest problem occurred the next morning when there was no electricity available which continued until 6 PM. So we were not able to enjoy a nice breakfast or even a cup of coffee. They said it was due to a PGE upgrade which I believe would have been scheduled and residents of the area should have been made aware of. Luckily we took a hike all day and were gone from the condo until late afternoon. Management did reimburse us 100.00 for the inconvenience but still it did put a damper on our day. The condo was very nice and clean. We enjoyed the time that we were in it and would like to return again

Home in dire need of renovations

We chose this rental due to its proximity to the ski resort. We were disappointed in the conditions of the bathrooms which were substandard. The shower floor in one bathroom was broken and attempted to be patched up with adhesive material. The tile in the other tub shower were loose and appeared to be falling off. This particular rental was in poor condition and needs appropriate repairs/renovations to the bathrooms to make it enjoyable.

Remote Mountain Retreat

The 2019 winter leading up to our stay was record-setting, and this impacted our stay in ways not attributable to the property. A tree had fallen on the unit next d.oor, which led to some water pressure issues in ours, due to a leak that it caused. The one nearby restaurant and small store were likewise affected, which severely limited our ability to pick up supplies or eat somewhere after skiing. The unit is extremely close and convenient to the China Peak ski resort, but food options there were also limited. Note that the next closest grocery supply is 20 miles away under winter road conditions. The unit itself was warm, comfortable, and spacious enough for our group of five, but lacked some key amenities: wastebaskets in bathrooms, food storage options like Tupperware or foil or plastic wrap, dish towels, and a working lighter for the fireplace. The DVD player would also only display movies in black and white.

The house and location was fantastic

Once we got in it was great but the code we were given to access the property by the agent was wrong and we spent a very stressful 2 hours at 4.30 on a Friday trying to get in. Fortunately the caretaker had an alternative contact number and we got in! Once in the place was lovely a fantastic kitchen and a lovely comfortable place to stay. It could do with better info to explore the surrounding area especially for us Brits! As no access to WiFi. Also a good tip to buy provisions at a main supermarket before you get there. Would definitely return maybe in the winter. Thanks

Great Kitchen and Nicely Furnished

The location was perfect for what we wanted. The kitchen seems to have been recently remodeled and is very well equipped. The dining area and living room are very nicely furnished. The bedrooms are functional Make a careful note of the unit number (12) before you go. The only door faces away from the street and there is no address visible from the street. It took us some time to find the unit when we were just a few feet away. Every room is on a different level. You will be going up and down many stairs during your stay.
