The city is rich in sights, from monuments such as the cathedral, the church of Santa Teresa and the Torre Normanna castle to places that invite you to relax, such as the gardens of Villa Trieste and the Belvedere, from where you can enjoy a magnificent view over the Fiumarella Valley and the Gulf of Squillace. If you want to take a trip back in time, don't miss the Scolacium archaeological park, where you can see the remains of the pre-Roman settlement of Skylletium. The ancient town of Squillace towers above the coast, from where you can enjoy a sweeping view of the sea. Stroll through the narrow, sloping streets of Squillace and soak up the atmosphere. Squillace is known for its traditional handicrafts, especially ceramics.
