We spent Thanksgiving at this beautiful 1770s stone farmhouse with our extended family â five bedrooms, two spacious kitchens, and plenty of space for all of us to spread out comfortably. For Thanksgiving dinner, we cooked together using the fully equipped kitchens, and there was more than enough room at the big dining table for everyone. The combination of history, peaceful farmland views, and cozy comforts made this place feel like a âhome away from home.â
The house and property is beautiful! We thoroughly enjoyed are stay. Beds were very comfortable and the host thought of everything from a well-stocked kitchen to delicious moon pies, shoofly pie, and fresh eggs awaiting our arrival. There are lots of hiking trails nearby and Lancaster is only a short drive away, but thereâs barely a reason to leave the property!
This property is exactly as the pictures show. Absolutely beautiful. Host is very very responsive and super quick to help. Not at all overbearing. Stayed an entire week and loved every minute. Had 6 adults and an 11 year old. Relatively close to all attractions but out of the way and quiet. Love the chickens!!
We gathered as a family for Thanksgiving and a celebration of life. This historic house was the perfect size for large family meals and we appreciated that dogs were welcome.
Hosts are kind, responsive and thoughtful.
This home is breathtaking with its stone walls and open (well stocked) upstairs kitchen area. Bedrooms are cosy and well decorated. There are great trails nearby and chickens right out the window for your viewing pleasure! Worth every one of the 5 stars!
This house is stunning - the pictures are spot on. Everything was in great working order. The host was welcoming and communicated often as needed. We were given more time to check out since nobody was checking in after us which was helpful as we had a small impromptu wedding during the stay. It was great for pictures. We left something behind and she immediately contacted us to offer a solution to return the item. We would love to stay here again.
Traveling as a family of 10 to Lancaster to be part of our sister/daughterâs wedding day we knew we needed the perfect place to spend the weekend. We knew from the pictures we were in for a treat (and not just the shoe-fly pie). The toddler loved spending the mornings staring at the chickens through the window and going out to visit, the adults loved checking out the stream and fire pit, while we all loved having a place to be all together during a special time. Every detail made it a perfect weekend and the bride and groom loved spending time there. The whole house is so unique and perfect for a large party with so much to do. It was so clean and had a lot of things already at the house that we didnât need to run out and get. The owners were very responsive. Everyone absolutely loved the historical aspect to the house along with the privacy and didnât want to leave at the end of our stay!
Our visit here was too short! This trip was a multi-generational family trip and the property was a perfect relaxing atmosphere. I really enjoyed the personal touches the host provided. Setting the music and having lights on for our night time arrival was so welcoming. The house is spotless and kitchen well equipped. The fresh eggs and goodies put this stay over the top. We also took advantage of the offer to have a small fire to sit outside and stargaze. We were blessed to see the Aurora Borealis that evening making a really nice end to our trip.
Annual family get together celebrating wife/mother/ grandmother's birthday.
Amazing house with location and Amanda the host goes out of her way to make sure your stay the best experience you could ask for. On arrival greeted with home made pie and other treats waiting for you. Cannot say enough about how incredibly our stay was. The whole family wants to make it a yearly event.
The property is beautiful and very secluded. Massive areas to roam and relax. The house is modern and equipped with all of the essentials. The hosts were friendly and available but respected our privacy.
We six women gathered here for a 50th reunion of college friends from Penn State. The house is lovely, spacious, clean, and well-equipped. We really enjoyed the beautiful farm, and the fresh eggs. I think our only regret was that we hadn't planned to stay longer!
We had a great stay here- looks just like the pictures. Lots of space inside the house to spread out, and the kids had a lot of fun in the creek and roaming outside. Would recommend.
Great central location for myself and my two son's family. The weekend was all about the kids, going to Dutch Wonderland one day and the Turkey Hill Experience on the other. Our hosts were friendly with great communication. The property was beautiful and well maintained with plenty of land to roam The house was clean with room for all. Great weekend. Thank you!
