Rocky Top Retreat-Decorated for Christmas Near NPS

Summary:

Rocky Top Retreat is a newly built cabin featuring a large covered wrap around porch for relaxing and enjoying wildlife. Inside the space is adorned with shiplap walls, cypress floors, concrete countertops and black stainless appliances. There is also a gas fireplace and lots of custom carpentry. It’s truly a unique space in our area that combines traditional materials with modern conveniences.



The Space:

RTR offers 1 Private King Bedroom on the main level and a Sleeper Sofa in the Great Room. You'll find a second Private Queen Bedroom upstairs as well as an open sleeping loft with a Queen and twin bed. A roll away bed is also available.



Guest Access:

Once guests have completed required documents, guidelines and codes will be delivered the day of arrival.



The Neighborhood:

Our Cabin is less than a mile to Adventures on the Gorge. The New River Gorge Bridge is within a couple of miles and downtown Fayetteville is 4 miles away. Rafting, hiking, biking,climbing,swimming, and fishing are all nearby. Summersville lake is a short drive away.

Rocky Top Retreat is incredible!! We were there for a weekend and didn't want to leave. The decor and layout make it feel so cozy, and the location cannot be beat. The hot tub was toasty and provided a beautiful view of the stars. Michael is one of the most considerate and courteous hosts I have dealt with. He made the whole stay go smoothly, and kindly alerted us to some weather that could impact our stay. I hope I am able to stay at Rocky Top again soon!

Rocky Top Retreat is our go-to in Fayetteville! Always clean, well-stocked, and hosted with care. The location is perfect—just minutes from Adventures on the Gorge, downtown, Freefolk Brewery, climbing, and hiking trails right off the driveway. Whether you’re out adventuring or just soaking in the hot tub with mountain views, this cabin is the best spot in town.

Warm & Inviting, surrounded by nature, this serene property is within minutes of the Adventures on the Gorge resort. It is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Perfect set up for our multi generation family of 6. Plenty of privacy but wonderful gathering areas as well.

This property was the perfect place for our end of summer getaway! Secluded, but also convenient and close to town and all the sights & trails we were wanting to visit! The house is as described. We had such a wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend this property to anyone visiting the area. The home was clean, comfortable, and clearly well cared for, and it had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Communication from the host was smooth and helpful, and check-in was simple and stress-free.The standout feature for our group was definitely the lower deck hot tub. It’s a fantastic setup—large enough for multiple adults to sit comfortably, and the lighting makes it especially enjoyable in the evening. The built-in Bluetooth speaker was an awesome touch, allowing us to play our own music while soaking and relaxing. It honestly felt like a private spa experience tucked into the deck.We spent a lot of time out there unwinding, and it quickly became everyone’s favorite spot at the house. Between the atmosphere, the space, and the thoughtful features, it really elevated the whole stay.Overall, this was a great property and a perfect place to relax. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to future guests looking for a comfortable place with a truly amazing hot tub setup!
