The reception staff was super friendly and helpful. The rooms are simply old and musty smelling but clean. Comfortable bed and clean bathroom but the coach had seen better days, the cushion was completely gone. The property is old as well, this hotel has been there forever and it shows. The rooms are non smoking but the residents have been in the casino and the casino smells repulsive. But that's what you get in a casino. We just can't deal with cigarette smell any more. Honestly you get what you pay for and the room was the cheapestroom they have. No extra amenities just a room. They don't want you hanging out in your room, they want you in the casino. In many years of going to Laughlin the Pioneer is the only property we had never stayed and now I know why.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Our TV wouldn’t work and they replaced it immediately. The room was not the great. Only the basic necessities. No hair dryer, iron, ironing board or clock. I don’t think we will be staying there again.

Weeks before checking in I requested a mini because they don't provide one which motel doesn't that's like a must and no microwave is a must to so while checking in I asked again about my mini fridge they said they were going to bring it up I never got it the whole stay I was there asked for it again still no fridge only because I'm traveling with my mother who is sick and takes insulin so we never got the mini fridge my mom's medicine went bad and she got sick. Well checking out I tried to ask for an extra hour till my Mom feels better some lady try to tell me no and some other older lady came and help me and let me stay an extra hour other than that great location and kool access to the river

Run down

The good: Inexpensive with excellent service. Close to restaurants. The bad: There was a gap under the door allowing bugs into the room. We had to use a towel to block access. The AC unit vents from the walkway flooding the room with tobacco smoke. The entire property is run down and needs updating.
