Cozy Tiny Home · Hot Tub · Fire Pit
Hughes is a tiny home for two â just enough space, and exactly the right amount. Queen bed under the eaves, private hot tub on the deck, fire pit stocked and ready for the night ahead.
Hughes is part of a small collection of tiny homes â four in all, tucked close together, each with its own private outdoor space and all part of the same little community at Notestone Reserve. Privacy fencing and planted trees do the work of keeping things quiet and separate. Most guests stay entirely in their own lane â hot tub, fire pit, patio â and that's exactly how it's designed. The game room is there when you want it, and easy to ignore when you don't.
Named for Langston Hughes â whose work found beauty and weight in everyday life â it's one of four tiny homes here, each designed for couples or solo travelers who want to unplug without giving up the good stuff.
đČ Outside âą Personal hot tub (striped towels provided) âą Propane grill with tools âą Fire pit for sâmores, stargazing, and evening conversations (firewood on site) âą Cozy seating for two, with blankets for the cooler nights âą Privacy fencing and planted trees between homes
đ Inside âą Lofted queen bed with crisp linens âą Kitchenette stocked with the basics to get you started â salt, pepper, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, foil, and cooking spray. âą Coffee bar: coffee maker, coffee, and tea âą Towels for every occasion (bath, hand, face, makeup, hot tub) âą Smart TV and Bluetooth speaker
𧎠What's Here When You Arrive Every bathroom comes stocked with the good stuff â shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and lotion. One less thing to remember when you're packing for the weekend.
We provide a starter kit of the essentials â 2 rolls of toilet paper, a roll of paper towels, a kitchen sponge, and trash liners. We recommend bringing a little extra just in case.
đĄ The Shared Game Room A short walk across the property, and open to every Notestone guest: âą 85" Smart TV âą Pool table âą Foosball âą Basketball arcade âą Classic arcade machines and a racing game âą Legos, card and board games, indoor cornhole âą Plus an outdoor playground for the kids (big and small)
đșïž What's Nearby Notestone sits in the heart of the Hocking Hills, close enough to hit two or three trails in a day and still be back in time for the fire pit.
Rock House â 7 minutes Conkle's Hollow â 15 minutes Old Man's Cave â 20 minutes Ash Cave â 26 minutes
Cedar Falls, Cantwell Cliffs, and the rest of the state park system are all within a short drive as well.
đ¶ About the WiFi WiFi is included, but satellite internet in Hocking Hills has its limits. Most guests find the inconsistency easier to accept once they're in the hot tub. We aren't able to issue refunds for WiFi interruptions.
đż A Note on the Setting We're in a wooded area, and while we stay on top of regular pest control, the occasional ladybug or curious spider showing up is just nature doing its thing.
đ A Few House Rules We're a small, family-owned operation, and keeping Notestone calm and well-kept is a group effort. A few things we ask: âą No parties or events, including bachelor/bachelorette groups. And no glitter â it never, ever goes away. âą Only registered guests on the property âą No smoking, vaping, fireworks, ATVs, hunting, or weapons âą No commercial photography or videography without written approval âą Hot tub: use the striped towels provided and keep the cover on between soaks âą Septic-safe: flush toilet paper only; no garbage disposal at the sink âą 4WD/AWD recommended during winter months Check-in: 4:00 PM / Check-out: 11:00 AM
âïž Before You Arrive All guests sign a simple renter agreement once you book. We'll send it over â quick, painless, and it helps us take good care of you and everyone else on the property.
We had a wonderful time. The place was great. The only problem we had is being 74 years old getting up the stairs and crawling into the bed was a little bit tough but each night was easier than the next. The place was very clean and had everything we needed and we enjoyed the hot tub very much.
We loved the place! Fully stocked with everything we needed. The fuse on the outdoor lights was blown and it was replaced promptly. The hot tub was great and we had fun using the game room
Very cozy and good location for hiking. Space is very tight for the same price it might be better to get an actual cabin, but it was as nice as advertised!
This place was great! Our first tiny home, and we loved it! The Host was great and stayed in communication with us during our stay to ensure everything was perfect. The place was neat and clean, with everything we needed for a nice weekend getaway.
Cozy, comfortable and host supplied essentials (and generously more) that you do not want to have to pack, for a quick getaway. The site is even better at night with a personal outdoor space with a fire pit and chairs/table, awesome hot tub and a gas grill. Canât wait to go back! Stacey provided excellent details so I was well prepared, also very easy be in contact with, if needed⊠and so accommodating!
This property does not disappoint. They really have thought of everything you will need for a nice quiet retreat away from your busy schedules. Beautiful property and accommodations.
