Cottage of the Barry fountain in Aveyron

Ideally located to discover Aveyron and enjoy the lakes of Lévézou, the gite de la Fontaine is located in a hamlet of a dozen houses where only the inhabitants circulate. Children can come and go without worry on foot, by bike, by scooter ...
The cottage has its private parking, a small garden set back to enjoy the outdoors, a fireplace for evening out of season. This small cottage is completely independent. The bedrooms are upstairs, the living rooms on the ground floor. The 2 bedrooms are in the attic with exposed beams and stone, it exudes a cozy charm. A room for parents with a large bed and a room for children with 2 beds, plus a trundle if necessary for a third child. The bathroom and WC separate the 2 bedrooms. The bathroom is fitted with a large shower and a sink.
Downstairs, a fully equipped kitchen, living room, dining room with fireplace, TV ...

The cottage is an old agricultural building that we renovated in 2010-2011. We have preserved the stones of the walls and the beams. Everything else has been redone with natural materials: plaster and lime masonry, solid wood floors, untreated pine paneling, organic paints on plasterboard partitions, insulation with wool from village sheep.
The gîte is completely independent. We live in the main house of the old farm and so we are at your disposal.
A path goes around Barry, it will give you access to the fountain, and to the different farm animals that the inhabitants raise.
The cottage is equipped with all modern comforts: hot water! with induction hobs ... dishwasher and washing machine, pyrolysis oven and microwave. The teak garden furniture under arbor will allow you to enjoy a lunch on the grass.
Duvets on the beds and equipment for young children available: high chair, bed, stroller for the paths.
Heating in the gîte is provided by radiant radiators and a wood insert with a rotating open hearth. Wood is provided.
If you come mountain biking, you can put your equipment in the barn. We will provide you with topposts for fun rides of the length you want.
The cottage is equipped with an unlimited wired internet connection. We will provide you with a cable to connect.
A telephone in the cottage allows you to call or call emergency numbers.

Belle petite maison dans un tout petit hameau

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour entre les deux réveillons 2019. Le temps était beau mais froid. La maison était bien chauffée grâce à un four à bois. Nous avons pu faire tout ce que nous voulions : visite du musée Soulages à Rodez, des bastides du Rouergue, de Laguiole. Nous avons fait deux belles randonnées depuis la maison. Le marché du vendredi d'Espalion nous a beaucoup plu. Notre seul regret est qu'entre les deux réveillons, beaucoup de restaurants étaient fermés alentour.

Très agréable séjour d'une semaine au mois d'Août. La location est propre, bien équipée et au calme. Les différents sites touristiques en Aveyron sont accessibles depuis la location (Bozouls, Laguiole, Gorge du tarn, Conques...) Si vous aimez le calme, la nature et les paysages magnifiques, c'est le lieu idéal! Cols des montagnes, troupeaux de brebis, calèches... Le chalet est bien agencé et joliment décoré, très agréable à vivre. Le propriétaire est très gentil, soucieux du bien être de ses locataires. Le feu de bois était allumé pour notre arrivée!.. Nous n'avons vraiment eu qu'à déposer nos affaires et profiter de ce moment merveilleux! Qu'une envie à l'instant du départ: rester plus longtemps! Ce séjour restera un beau rayon de soleil!!!
