The view off the back deck as we sat in the hot tub was priceless. We all loved our home away from home and highly recommended the Nitz Carlton for your Black Hills vacation."

Come stay at the Carlton for a one-of-a-king vacation experience! These 3 levels, custom built home is brand new to the Terry Peak area - close to skiing/snowboarding, ATV/snowmobile trails and all the Black Hills has to offer!  Featuring stunning views, expansive deck and patio areas, a fire table and 2 Hot tubs - this will be your perfect home base to rest and relax!

Walk into an inviting, open space with large kitchen, dining and living area with flat screen TV.  Around the corner relax in front of the fireplace or walkout to the deck.  There is a master King bedroom on the main floor with attached bath, laundry room and half bath.  Upstairs you will find 2 bedrooms (1 with 2 queens and the 2nd with a queen bed and daybed with trundle), full bath, open loft area with a comfy couch for taking a nap or reading a book.  The lower level has 3 more bedrooms (Twin over full bunk bed), (1 Queen bed) and (bunk bed with 3 twins), full bathroom, wet bar for entertaining and a large family room with more comfy seating, flat screen TV and a game table for cards and puzzles.  This will be your perfect home base to relax and unwind after spending time in the Black Hills!

Minutes from the Mickelson trail with miles of hiking/biking trails, 25 minutes to Sturgis, 15 minutes to Spearfish Canyon, 15 minutes to Deadwood, 45 minutes to Pactola Lake for ice fishing or boating, and an hour drive to Mt. Rushmore and Custer State Park.

There were three families that stayed at the rental. It was a perfect setup for all three families with space and privacy. The house was clean and big and the grandkids really enjoyed the hot tubs, firepit and game room. The kitchen was also nice size for family cooking. We would stay here again.

Great Christmas Getaway

We had 4 families and 1 set grandparents under one roof for Christmas. Beautiful sunset views. Plenty of bathrooms. Love the huge copper kitchen sink. Kids took over basement with video games and card games. Basement was cold first 2 nights. Closed some vents on main and upstairs level which made a world of difference!!! 2 coffee pots was a treat. Had crockpots, griddles, and lots of coffee mugs. Plenty of TP and paper towels. Lacked serving utensils (we purchased and left behind), hand towels, glasses and kitchen towels for drying (minor inconveniences). Management company was highly communicative in answering our questions when we were on sight.

Perfect for us!

This house was perfect for our large group. We were there with friends and family on our annual ski trip. The house is beautiful and had plenty of space for everyone to hang out together, but also to spread out and have privacy. We would definitely stay here again!!

Perfect home

Absolutely a beautiful home, spacious, clean and plenty of room for 8 of us. Two refrigerators were great, beds were like sleeping on clouds. Great parking for 3 large trucks. Have stayed at many rental homes for work and pleasure but this one is by far the best of the best.

Family of 12...ample room with a great layout that afforded plenty of space, good sleeping, and places to separate when needed. Very comfortable with all necessary items and multiple bonuses. Would definitely return to same home!

Very nice home

Having 2 hot tubs and hanging out on the deck in the evening was fabulous. The kids loved the game room and the big tvs. :) Having 2 fridges was awesome. There was plenty of space for everyone. Thank you so much it is a beautiful house and we loved it!

My friend and I had a great stay at the Nitz Cabin! It was very spacious with plenty of room for people to gather and lots of things for people to do! Definitely would recommend this cabin to someone else or stay here again in the future!

Family Reunion

Nice house for large family reunion. Six bedrooms. large and open 1st floor allowed group to meet and talk. The basement and hot tubs allowed quieter locations for those that wanted that. Plenty of bathrooms (3), two W/D, 2 hot tubs, and plenty of TVs. Place is a bit out of the way unless you are skiing there. House is on top of hill/mountain and the last half mile is bumpy dirt road. Basement was considerably cooler than rest of house and we could only find one thermostat. Overall, great place for large group.

Great room for a large group. Beautiful place in quiet area. Good parking space. This house is wonderful. The only negative was the basement was extremely cold for this time if year. Would consider placing a much larger rug in basement bathroom. Thanks for letting stay we had a great time.

Ski weekend staycation

Great spacious cabin for our family weekend. Kitchen supplies allowed us to cook easily. Plenty of comfortable sleeping space. We didn’t realize game room is the garage. Garage could use better heat but once we gave it ample time it was okay and thankfully not too cold of weekend. Would rent again.

Family Christmas

17 of us celebrated an early Christmas. The cabin had ample room for 17 of us. Lots of common areas for us to spread out in. Nice game room. Two fridges was very helpful. Two hot tubs was great as well. Kitchen layout is great for making big meals and all the necessary kitchen items were provided. Highly recommend for a larger gathering of family or friends
