I loved how clean and modern it was, room was in excellent condition. The only downside was in check in on line, we had booked an executive room with breakfast all included in the price. But when we went to check in it asked us to upgrade to breakfast for an extra £14 each ( it was already included) also for an extra amount as well we could do a late checkout but when i went to the desk the excutive room already has this included in the price. We could have ended up paying more for what was already covered.

The Clayton is alright, it is comfortable enough but the food really lets it down. Lazy kitchen practices, poor ingredients and under engaged staff mean you'd be better off going into town and finding a restaurant off site. Over £30 for a steak which was drenched in salt, badly cooked with chalky undercooked chips.

The hotel is nice and the staff I interacted with seemed very friendly helpful, and incredibly polite. The lobby, bar and restaurant area look pretty new and are nice spaces. Breakfast was tasty, and if I hadn’t been meeting folks for dinner I would have considered dining in the hotel. The room was big and reasonably well-appointed, and the bed was comfortable. However, there was no hand towel in the bathroom, and the room decor felt old and shabby. It was also quite cold at night, and I couldn’t see a way to change the temperature. Not the hotel’s fault, but on the first night I was there, there was a lot of noise outside, which kept me awake.

It was ok, but the room was not good at all. The toilet seat broken, the bath tub plug kept getting stuck during the shower and we had to call premised to come up with a screw driver to open it. The bed was not comfortable

Staff were great but checked in at 3 pm was going to a wedding at 6pm the whole time we were in the room there was extremely loud drilling when we asked how long this would be for they said until they finish and would be starting again at 9am so won’t use it stop here again.
