I found the staff were very friendly and helpful the room was comfortably clean with nice bed linen and towels. Like tea/coffee facilities/TV Bathroom was clean but the shower wasn’t working properly and there wasn’t a shower screen door to prevent the whole floor getting wet and slippery. Shame about noisy neighbour!

Service with a smile

Reception staff were cheerful and very helpful. Curtains in motel were a bit jaded, lounge chairs were very comfortable as was the bed and I had a good nights' sleep and the road traffic at night did not disturb me. Walk to railway station was comfortable and I came across a cafe called Blue Bird Cafe which was near a walkway across to the station. All in all a very comfortable & convenient stay for me.

It was ok for what you pay. The room was clean but the bathroom needs a renovation. They had given us a room for 3 when we had booked for 4 people. The hotel is next to the pub, so people were noisy outside our room all through the night.

First the positives. The staff in the Bar/Hotel were friendly and welcoming and a pleasure to meet. It was a bitterly cold evening when we arrived & the barkeeper kindly made me 2 cups of hot tea. The room itself was basic but clean with an extremely comfortable bed & crisp bed linen. The downsides however were that it was so cold in the room, with no heating, that you could see your breath inside & that the constant noise all night of trucks & trains passing the building made sleep impossible. It was a very long, cold 8 hours waiting for morning. Best advice i can give is don't stay here in winter & bring earplugs. But again, friendly staff, clean & basic room & convenient to the station.
