Excellent place!

Lovely quiet place. Immaculate, clean and comfortable. Made very welcome! Breakfast was incredible! Still full! Great dry safe parking for my motorcycle. The owner is super friendly and helpful.

I was looking forward to staying at this location because of the expedia listing, its location and views. It was disappointing. From waiting 2 hours for raw food, to being given the wrong room and then debated w as to whether I should get the more expensive room, to not shown my room, etc.

I had to wander the building for 10 minutes to find the owner and it wa by luck I found him. We arrived in early April and it didn’t seem the place was ready for business. The restaurant was closed and some of the hall lights didn’t work making it dark to walk around.

Clean, local hotel

This is hard to review. It is certainly in a pleasant location (and a short drive to Ljubljana) but no shops around or restaurants within walking distance when we were there in October which meant a drive to the local town where there was an excellent restaurant for dinner (a highlight of our stay and one of the best meals in our four week trip) but breakfast was hard to find without local knowledge or assistance. Perhaps we could have organised breakfast on site but we didn't. The room was basic and we knew this when we booked. It was certainly bright, clean and nice and warm. Glasses instead of plastic cups would have been nice. Hosts welcoming and friendly. Only issue was that the place was a bit noisy because the stairwell is very open and tiled and we could hear the guests next door. It was not a major problem unless you are noise sensitive.

Perfect for us

Excellent place, a bit outside the city, quiet and cozy. Great if you have a car. We were on our way to Pula, so this definitely fit our purpose. Price was great, and the gentleman up was nice and polite.

Zaplana? Yes!

Outside of Vrhnika and quote close to Ljubljana you book very pleasent hotel with high standard. Good place for winter sports and summer walkings and good place 2 explore middle and western Slovenia. The owner was very pleasant. I recommend it .

Nice place

Stayed for 1 night as a sleepover. Great value for money. The bed was huge. Very tidy and nice area. You have to drive up about 15 minutes from the main highway, bu the view was worth it.

This was a very comfortable, clean bed and breakfast. I would recommend both family and couples to give this place a try it was a very relaxing place to stay and the hosts were very accommodating. It was worth the drive!

Beautiful rural location

Family run guest house in beautiful location, 10 minutes drive from local town and 20 mins drive to Ljubljana .. rooms clean and modern, patio area to some of the room S so wake up to beautiful view. Breakfast was continental choice some home made food, also it is the local inn so do evening meals too, overall , smalll friendly clean , great value

Nice hotel far from anything

The hotel is a real gem if you are willing to stay at least 20-30 mins from any restaurants or stores. It's located in a very small and peaceful village on top of a mountain. The front desk manager is very helpful, the rooms are quiet, clean, and comfortable. The hotel has a restaurant and bar with a limited selection but ok for 1-2 nights. The price is very competitive for this area - perhaps because you are in a remote area. I would recommend this as a jumping off point to Pulu or Rovinj in Croatia or Ljubljana or simply as a place to escape the crowds and relax.
