Very clean stay & quite beach

Very nice place to stay for a family vacation with a old Florida vide. If you're wanting a night of nightlife, sarasota and siesta key is only 30 minute drive. The restaurants were all family friendly and easy access to everything. Heavy police presence in the area so we always felt safe. The room was very clean and the view was incredible. Highly recommend!!

First night not good. Shower drain in one of the bathrooms was clogged. Even worse, we had no tv, phone, or internet access! Office was closed. Called the following morning and maintenance fixed everything. No light bulb in hall socket either.

Rental needs to be updated, BADLY!

While the view is fantastic, the rental has a lot to be desired. The staff and ground crew do an impeccable job keeping the grounds clean. However, the inside was not good. Nothing on the cleaning people really, I mean what can they do with things like this:. Musty smell, moldy showers, old toilet seat with wear marks, cabinets that don't close, leaks in the ceiling dripping down walls and floors, old mismatched dishes, rusty light fixtures, lights with bulbs out and non matching colors. I mean the public bathroom at the Anna Maria pier was cleaner! Totally feel like I was mislead, over paid.

Family Vacation stay

Location of property right on the beach! Enjoyed that the property wasn’t by touristy area but a short 5-15 minute drive from shops and restaurants. Overall a great stay. My only recommendation would be to update the interior. Specifically the leather/vinyl coach peeling. Other than that, enjoyed everything!!

Girls Get Away

Great spot for a short girls' trip. The condo was great for 4 adults. There was a broken chair on the balcony so we weren't able to all sit and enjoy the sunrise or sunset together sitting however it didn't ruin the trip. We would have liked additional entry carpets to help with the sand but other than those small things everything was great.

Great place! Great price!

We felt very fortunate to have found this place. Although there were some minor things that needed updates, we were thrilled with the view from our balcony. Beds were comfortable. In the listing, it says two full beds. This is inaccurate. It’s two twin beds. We were still ok with that. Wish we could have stayed longer. Would definitely stay here again.

Fabulous views of the Gulf!

We had a lovely time, very spacious unit. Great location at the end of complex- short distance to the beach. Could use some drywall repairs near the ceilings where a previous leak was evident in areas - rather rough looking patching there. Updating the unit to todays standards would make a definite return trip. Unfortunately the red tide kept us from going in the water. So that was a disappointment but no fault of the owner of course. Overall, it worked well for our family!!

A bit disappointed

The condo had a wonderful view which we enjoyed each day. The property is in need of a face lift feeling very worn. The twin bed mattresses were extremely worn and hard on our adult children The kitchen was not great for cooking as supplies were limited and very disorganized there were 2 umbrellas in kit unit and both were broken. When we asked for another one at the office they did not have any and we're unresponsive with a solution. TV area was the bright spot, lots of room and a great TV.

Beautiful view!

We absolutely loved our Gulf front view at this rental from our balcony, as well as the huge living room window! Condo was clean and well supplied- only issue we had was a problem with our refrigerator staying cold, but the property managers were wonderful- sent someone right away, and they brought a replacement refrigerator the next day! Also provided us with a space to keep our refrigerated items cold in the meantime. Naturally appliances break down, but the way the staff handled the issue was above and beyond!! We would 100% recommend this property! Longboat Key is so beautiful and quiet, but still just a close drive to popular attractions- an absolutely perfect vacation for our family!

Loved our stay in #204 on the beach!

We loved our stay right on the beach! We watched the sunsets right from our balcony every night. Perfect location. Pool was great. Kids loved having the rafts available. Condo was clean and comfortable.

Hidden Gem on LongBoat Key

Our stay in unit 204 at the Sand Cay Beach Resort was perfect. Our unit was clean, well furnished, and had every kitchen appliance and utensil we needed for cooking. They even had a starter pack of extra paper goods to help you through the stay. The view was phenomenal and access to the beach was quick and easy. The best part was that the resort has beach chairs that are included with the unit we stayed in. And the beach was never crowded. For first timers: If your unit is not on the first floor the resort has an luggage carts and elevators so you don’t need to lug things up stairs. We are already discussing a trip for next year because we loved it so much. I could write a small essay for my review because of how happy we were with our stay. So if you’re on the fence about booking, take the leap of faith and do it!

I wish I could say it was terrible to keep this place to myself!

This is by far our new favorite place to stay in LBK or Anna Maria! The condo was immaculately clean, extremely well stocked with linens, blankets, pillows, kitchen wares etc. and the view is amazing! Lyn and the entire team at Sand Cay were so accommodating and communicative throughout our stay. The pool, beach and all common areas are beautifully kept and everyone staying there was very friendly and courteous. I wish I could say it was horrible so we could keep this beautiful place to ourselves!

My daughter and I stayed for 3 wonderful days! The view from the condo is breathtaking and we couldn’t have asked for friendlier people in the office. We are already talking about going back next year but for longer!

We recently spent 10 days in this unit. The great things were: the view, the beach, and the beach access. The good things were: the condo heating/cooling, condo size, hot water, beach umbrellas, internet access, swimming pool, refrigerator. The just okay things were the living and dining furniture, dishes, management staff. The not so okay thing was the master bed. The awful things were: the twin beds, the pull out sofa bed, foot steps above. We did experience some glitches during our stay: smoke detectors going off in the middle of the night several times, sewage smell coming from the master bath sink when we first arrived. This condo could definitely use and upgrade. Probably the original 1970’s bath fixtures and kitchen cabinets. Would we stay there again? We think we could do better.
