A very welcoming hotel in Polperro. The room was cosy and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was also very good. It’s just a short walk to the Harbour and has the added bonus of an included car parking space. Highly recommended.

The hotel is clean and well maintained. Our breakfast waitress for three out of our four days was fantastic. Helpful and friendly. The breakfast menu was extensive, so everyone should be able to find something that they like. The food itself was average. The poached eggs on the Eggs Benedict were overcooked, and the bacon had some sort of white residue on it (congealed fat I think). This happened several times, so not just a one-off. The room sizes (square footage) are listed on their website, so maybe shame on me for not realizing what 325 square feet really feels like. The room was clean and there was a small wardrobe to store clothes. but there is no room to store luggage and still be able to walk around the bed. We struggled with the tiny bathroom. The shower is about the size of a telephone box so you cannot turn around, raise your arms, or bend over in the shower. Very uncomfortable. The sink was tiny (roughly 25 x 14 cm) and awkwardly mounted sideways with the faucet on the left side. You could not bend over the sink without bumping your head on the small glass shelf. It's great that they have their own reserved parking just across the street, but if you're driving anything larger than a standard saloon car or small SUV it's a challenge to maneuver around other vehicles when moving in or out of the parking spaces. Overall this place has several highly desirable features, but be aware that the rooms have little or no storage and are small.

Room was clean but smelt of dog even though it was a dog free room. Bathroom very small but functional. Breakfast excellent. However we did not like the fact that dogs are allowed into breakfast room. Not very hygienic. Good parking, always got a space.

Perfekt located small hotel in the heart of Polperro. Cafees, shops, pubs and parking close by. Great service and excellent breakfast. If you have room 12, it’s 34 steps, no elevator and low ceilings :)

We stayed for 3 nights end of August . And it was brilliant . I liked the fact that it was Adults only as well . Becky and Diane our point of contact during the stay were most welcoming and made us feel at ease . The breakfasts were all freshly prepared and the best I’ve eaten in this country. The choice of breakfasts were great as well and they set us up for the day. There is also a 24/7 coffee machine to help yourself on site which I thought was a great idea . And choice of drinks and snacks at the honesty bar. The cleanliness was second to none . We enjoyed having breakfast on the sheltered terrace but there is also a dining room as well. Some aspects of the interior does need updating especially the room we were in . Which was up in the eaves and was clad in wooden pine reminiscent of a chalet . The other thing with this room was the toilet was extremely small and tight and in fact had just been fashion off the corner of the bedroom . the actual bath and shower were on a different level so you had to go up and down a small flight of stairs which was extremely inconvenient. The wash basin was in the actual bedroom . The room was the only disappointing thing of this hotel . Everything else was excellent. The shower was great and the toiletries were all you could require . We would like to visit again but would stay in a different room . The staff are a credit to this hotel .

A lovely hotel. Stayed in many rooms and this room was a little small but comfortable. Would recommend to anyone that this is the place to stay in polperro. The breakfasts are delicious and fresh.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at the Claremont. On arrival the access to the car park was straightforward and once parked up we were greeted with a lovely receptionist who checked us in. The room was very clean and lovely decor. Bathroom was modern and clean with a bath and shower. We had a dog with us and the doggy welcome pack was well received. The location is perfect for walking further into Polperro from with lots of pubs and gift shops. Breakfast at the Claremont really was a highlight. Diane served us every morning and she was a real credit to the hotel. We were greeted by her every morning and made to feel very welcome and she made a fuss of Molly our dog too. Breakfast options were brilliant and set us up nicely for the day. We will definitely be returning to the Claremont! A really lovely hotel in a gorgeous seaside town.

Lovely position bed very comfy plenty of great restaurants very easy to walk around Polperro quaint shops Lovely views from the harbour nothing we really didn't like just could have done with a bigger room and less stairs breakfast was excellent we would stay here again.

Excellent location and a lovely place to stay - breakfast was fantastic- room 10 is a little small however overall a great place to stay and the staff and owners are terrific
